Have there been any 24+ JL’s with an oil cooler leak? That’s when they went to the new gasket design

I watched that yesterday. Good video.

is the dorman oil cooler the current preferred product? I remember people were recommending the updated oem oil cooler.
The Dorman unit is hit or miss. If you follow Autoedits on YouTube, he put one in his JK and it ate shit immediately, but he replaced it with another one and it worked just fine.

Does anybody know why Jerry in the video (26:54) did not talk about the F42 fuse removal when he spoke about the auxiliary battery delete process he suggested? Is what he discussed just a different way to do it? Is the F42 fuse removal optional in an auxiliary delete process?

Yes, he described a different method: moving the AUX (ESS) battery positive terminal connector to the main battery positive post.

Basically, that creates an electrical path between the main battery and Jeep electronics that doesn't pass through the PCR, so the PCR fuse (F42) doesn't need to be removed to prevent the PCR from opening.

The method requires accessing the AUX (ESS) battery, so removing fuse F42 is easier.

Let me try again. I have a 2022. The OFA had the figure eight change as many have. Its been well established starting in 2022 it came in the engine. I changed it myself. I separated the cooler from the lower part of the assembly and it had the newer style already in it. Most leaks do not happen there from what I researched at the time mine let go. I first did the dorman which didnt last so I ordered a MOPAR OFA and its been fine for about 1500 miles

Does the oil cooler issue only apply to the 3.6 or does it impact the 2.0T also?
