12v Battery re-programming

This may sound weird but do our JL's need re-programming when swapping out the 12v battery? 2 prior vehicles I've worked on needed this, one a VW and another a Ford fiesta. If the dealer didn't re-program you would go through batteries like tic-tacs.

Apparently it's to reset charge settings when installing a different battery than the OEM.

No need to have dealer do any "re-programming"... the IBS Sensor relearns on it's own with no interaction by the dealership Service Dept.
