Hi there,
I was installing a dashcam and hit a really weird problem with interior aux wiring. I finally succeeded when wiring to engine bay AUX deadend but I can't explain why it failed originally. Hope someone knows the answer or if I should be heading to the dealer for warranty repair.

I recently bought and wired in a pair of spots for my A-pillar. I didn't want to cut/splice any of the existing wiring, and wanted the ability to use them with the full beams, but not all the time, so I thought I'd do a little write up in case it helped other members:
How to tie your a-pillar...
Vehicle: 2022 4xE Wrangler Rubicon with factory installed aux switches (this is the first one I'm attempting to use)
I picked up a Vixen Dixie Musical Horn and have it installed per the instructions, but absolutely nothing happens when I press the factory installed aux switch. I am attaching an...
Hey, I'm looking for some insight on this topic.
I want to add pod lights and potentially a light bar on the grill to my 2023 4xe Sahara. That being said, I dont have aux switches yet so getting those installed will be the first step.
- Any suggestions on aux kits that would fit, or things to...
I have been agonizing over cable management and electrical connections for some of my upcoming installs.
In my view, there are two categories of accessories.
Switch-controlled accessories (likely using any Aux switch panels)
Ignition-controlled accessories (Dash camera, CB radio, GMRS radio...

Wondering what folks out there have done to organize their Aux Wiring under the hood (behind battery)? Right now I have tidied everything up but would love to know if there is some sort of box or just better organization than connecting the wires together and grounding on one or two...
Hey all, I recently got a service start stop message on my dash and found out my aux had gone bad after I isolated and tested it. I think im going to replace both because I’ve heard people saying once one goes bad the other one will soon follow because they are in series. So, I’ve been throwing...
Has anyone seen a roof-level light bar mount that doesn't have to be attached to a roof rack, and doesn't have a large bracket that runs up the a-pillar? I haven't had any luck looking online and was wondering if anyone had attempted to make one. I wasn't sure if it was possible. Was thinking it...
Resolved- fuse F72 goes to that wire. Fuse box specifies 30 amp fuse and there was a 10 amp fuse there instead. replaced with a spare 25 amp and everything is working now!
Does anyone know why I may have no volts on the red/white wire under the passenger side dash? It worked a couple months...
Hey everyone,
I have a rather strange issue that I have not seen elsewhere on the forum that I am hoping someone can help with. I just installed the Mopar AUX switch kit in my 2019 JLU and I used the Tazer JL (version 11.1.5) to enable the switches in the Uconnect menu. Double checked my work...
When my 2018 JLU was at the dealers for the steering stabilizer recall, I asked about updating the radio firmware to fix some issues I was having (5" radio). They updated the PCM, ABS and radio firmware. Yesterday I noticed the low speed surging was gone, so today I tested starting with aux...
A few days ago a picture was posted on another thread (https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/quirks-not-addressed-in-user-guide.40684/page-6#post-922367) that showed a jump start related addendum to the owners manual that states "Only use the positive battery post on the main battery...
This new diagram is based on the appearance and location of the different components under the hood. I'm open to suggestions that would help with the readability/usability.
For those that aren't aware, there are several 3.6L ESS threads in the 3.6L Engine forum if you're looking for more ESS...
Due to the quantity and length of ESS battery and electrical related threads, researching issues can be time consuming and confusing. I am using this post to make information and related links easily available. This first post will serve as a quick reference and I'll use the second post to...
Brand new Bantam!! Not even taken out of the box!! My JL came with the AUX switches so no need for this. This also comes with the extended 84” battery cables so it can be mounted on the driver side of the engine bay. Also included is a RAM mount ball for the back of the touch screen and a JK...
Hi friends!
I am a brand new Rubicon owner (I've literally had this for less than 48 hours) and so far the only thing I have found a little strange about it is the audio system's "memory", so to speak.
I noticed yesterday when I left my office to pick up lunch that I was listening to a CD, got...
i called my local Jeep dealer and asked how much to install the Mopar auxiliary panel and the service advisor asked what that was. I explained what it was and I still don’t think he got it. I was planning trailer hitch, OEM fog/headlights, aux switches but now I’m rethinking using Jeep.
Any...
Today we installed a lighted whip on the back of the Jeep (mounted it on the tire carrier, relocation bracket / mount).
After much research we wanted to help and/or save others time finding and identifying the AUX cables.
Here is a short video and photo showing the wiring color codes and where...
