  1. Best practices for cleaning after offroading

I've been taking my JL offroad with increasing frequency and only see that going up even further in the future. I couldn't honestly care less about it looking clean, detailed and pretty, but am concerned about keeping as much grit out of the moving parts and suspension as possible. Currently...
  2. Steering Stabilizer Relocation, MC vs Synergy

I'm looking to relocate my steering stabilizer, not sure which of these two kits to get. I have 3.75 inch lift, 37 inch tires and ZERO steering issues. But I think its a matter of time before I crush my stabilizer out on the trail. Is there a particular advantage to either the MC or Synergy...
  3. TPMS Warning light on, but all sensors read pressure

See picture below, which appears to be contradictory. I bought 5 new TPMS sensors when I stalled my 37's about a month ago, everything worked perfectly. About a week ago, TPMS warning light went off. I did take a bit of air out of the tires went I went offroad, but the pressure was still set...
  4. Westin Transmission Skid Plate

I currently have the Westin oil pan skid plate installed and have been very happy with it. I saw the transmission pan on sale (Westin part #42-21075), so I thought I'd add that to the mix. The transmission seems almost as vulnerable as the oil pan, especially with that exposed exhaust downpipe...
  5. Front bumper skid plate options

I have a Quadratec stubby bumper, which I very much like. Low cost, easy install, minimalist look and can use my factory fog lamps. But the lack of a low cost, simple skid plate option is irritating. They do make one, but its $230. If that is truly the best option, and that is how much I...
  6. Rusty's Offroad JL 3.75 Advanced Kit

I recently installed this kit, thought I'd post some pics and info about it, since there is virtually none out there that I can find. I spoke to quite a few companies and did a good amount of research before I arrived at the decision to try the Rusty's kit. I almost went with MetalCloak, but...
  7. Illinois Roam side armor steps $125

Year old, one of the LEDs is damaged, in pic. I believe I have most of nuts and bolts, MIGHT be missing one or two. They're nice sidesteps, I just went a different direction. Pick up only.
  8. Illinois Rubicon wheels and tires with TPMS $900

5 rims and tires with TPMS. 14500 miles, rotated every 4-5 miles, including spare in rotation. Two of them have extremely small nicks on them, included in pics.
  9. Skyjacker JL Tailgate Saver Support & Spare Tire Relocation Kit

Has anyone bought this? Seen it? There is literally no information about it. I even called Skyjacker today to get more specs on it, they had nothing. They just sent me to the voicemail of "a guy that's been with Skyjacker for 35 years." I haven't heard back...
  10. Mastercraft 35 or 315?

I'm going to be installing a 2.5-3 inch lift on my Rubicon, and I'm trying to finalize what tires to run. I've settled on Mastercraft Courser MXT's, but am unsure on going with 35-12.5-17 or 315-70-17. The 315s are about $32 cheaper per tire and don't want to spend money for no reason. Both...
  11. OEM Brake pad material

Are the OEM pads semi-metallic or ceramic? Perhaps this is common knowledge, but I can't find an answer anywhere. I don't have a real problem with the OEM braking, but prefer Semi-metallic whenever possible. Brake dust is of no concern.
  12. Westin Oil Pan Skid Plate, 42-21095

I recently bought one of these to protect my oil pan and the Fumoto valve I have installed. I'm just starting down the rabbit hole of taking my Jeep on the trails and the mods that go along with that, so I didn't want to spend a ton. Found this skid plate for $106 shipped, looked perfect...
