What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed a Tyger hitch and curt trailer wiring kit. Wasn’t too bad of an install. So far everything checks out. Will recheck after driving it around.

Also got ducked today. First time for me. Happened at Walmart.

Didn’t do anything to my Jeep, but this was for my Jeep. Modified my smittybilt 2781 compressor with a heavier duty hose with quick disconnects, a quick attach digital tire gauge so I can actually ready the correct pressure while airing up, and bolted it into a plastic tool box for easy transport. Also has extra space for gloves, extra hose, tools, compressor parts, etc.

Found a front steel bumper and skid plate takeoff for $500 and installed today!

I went topless for the first time!

I installed the Racor hoist along with the Topsy kits. It was a pain to install, but it works flawlessly.

If the Euro bumper trim pieces are removed, may the fog light assemblies then also be easily unplugged and removed?

I've some fog light covers that are best installed with unencumbered access to the lenses.

Took a hacksaw to the OEM antenna and made it a shorty. Removed the ball tip and used a dremel tool to reduce the tip diameter of the "new" antenna and fit the ball on with a drop of liquid solder. So far reception is the same as before but without the distraction of the old antenna size. That was a distraction.

Thanks! Could be. I posted almost the same post under another thread "Shorten OEM antenna" earlier today. I came across that thread looking for short antenna ideas and thought it was a great idea.

Oh, LOL. Just searched and found that thread. I was actually referring to my post a few pages ago but that works too. Ive been doing my antennas this way for many years on my mustangs and now jeeps. I haven’t ever noticed a signal quality but then again, I normally live near the city or so. I’d imagine those that live further away from the towers might experience issues.

Installed new decals I got from @pixeldecals. Have one for the hood as well but not enough daylight and rain is coming so that will have to be put on on another day off.

Installed these:

Get Jeep harness and splice as such:

Remove speaker grills (simple trim removal tool with painters tape placed for extra protection), unscrew (stubby Philips screwdriver) and unplug old Alpines:

Plug in Kickers, screw back in and pop grills back on:
