It has long been established that the dealership makes the most profit from the service department. When Huffines Subaru moved to be with Kia in Corinth, we took our Subarus to Subaru of Plano. Our service writer moved out there from Huffines. He knew us. He knew I would take care of the small...
We celebrated two years with Blue Jeepy a couple of weeks ago, and it has been an amazing two years. I replaced the registration sticker with some care. It was the first time I had done a Jeep sticker. With windshield realestate at a premium, I wanted it as low in the corner as possible. The...
With the Jeep Adventure Academy in two weeks, I am curious if anyone will be attending. I have seen a lot of positive comments in the forum, and I will be there on Saturday. I am super excited because we missed it last year. Anyone else going?
I am no longer in that area. As kid, I remember that area flooding with heavy rains. That was long before Lone Star Park was built. Looking at the pictures on their site, it looks to be a mud place. I may venture down there to check it out someday, and I would definitely want a buddy if I went...
Update: I just got home from the dealer. My vehicle passed the inspection meaning the specific fuel parts on my vehicle are not the recall list. While my vehicle was manufactured during the window, the parts on my vehicle were different from the ones in the recall.
Good luck with your Jeep!
Mine is waiting at the dealership as well. I took it this morning for the inspection. They could not order parts until after the inspection, so I will have to pick mine up until the parts arrive. This is such a new recall (and narrow scope) that the service tech didn't know a fix was published...
Quick update: I dropped it off this morning. The service person knew of the recall but didn't know there was a fix yet. I was told the vehicle needed to be inspected before parts could be ordered. They do not have the parts in stock, so I am picking up the vehicle until the parts come in.
I am going to add my experience to the list. I had the steering wandering with lots of play in the wheel. I took it to the dealership, and they replaced the steering box under the TSB along with an alignment. It was a noticable improvement, but I still had the small deadspot like others report...
Who do you work with at Classic of Denton? I was just there this morning talking with the technician (Johnny) about my steering. I greatly appreciated him coming out of the shop to talk with me and go on a test drive. I had the steering gear box replaced a few weeks ago, and it made a big...
Absolutely nothing could go wrong....;) You have an interesting idea going. My hesitation would be the wheels of the lift transitioning from the Jeep to the table and vice versa with the weight of the hard top. It would be an expensive spill. Your idea could work, though. Since you are getting...
An interesting way to look at it is an extended warranty is a bet that the item (in this case Jeep) will fail. Many items offer extended warranties, but they are so well made, the likelihood of failure is low. Any manufacturing process is prone to failures, so some Jeeps will never have a...
I will second the Tom Winkels recommendation. He was super patient and helpful while weighing our options. Fortunately, FCA has not limited mopar warranties to the state in which you reside like other vehicle manufacturers. Tom's price beat everyone in my area, so it was a no brainer. Handled...
I saw that a 4xe was in transit, and I contemplated taking a test drive. Glad you got a deal that made you happy. They treated me nicely, and I had a great experience with Classic Of Denton last year. I did the whole CarPro thing.
