Thanks for the feedback and opinions! I like the 2 you picked as well. Loved the fact that the AEV's were 8.5 and with a positive offset. Feel like that would have tucked the wheel in a bit. My only concern with 9" and -12 is it poking way out beyond the fender with 285/70s. Having said that I am likely to take the plunge all the same.
I hear you, I was caught off guard by how far they stick out on mine, would have preferred the to stay tucked in. That said I will be driving a lot of muddy rural roads and having the extra clearance on the inside is a good thing. I've had vehicles in the past that got so gummed up from mud build up I couldn't turn the steering wheel.

I'm hoping that a wider fender will be on the market soon because I'm pretty happy with the configuration otherwise. Wider and slight taller fenders are all this needs to be perfect.

Curious if you might share some photos that indicate how far these come out beyond the flare? I have a similar config on order. The ProComp 7069 which is a 17x9 - 4.75 and a -6. I sent back the 285/70's in favor of 285/75/ 17 KO2's. Ive seen your other photos, but curious if you have anything that shows more clearly how far the come out.

Thanks in advance for anything you might share~

I would like to see this too. About to pull the trigger on the setup with 285/70-17. Getting a great deal at Extreme Terrain.

Hope I didn't scare you guys with my comment, its not really that bad. Its hard to get a picture that doesn't make the problem look worse than it is but maybe these will help...at least they are nice views!

Thanks for these and yes nice shots! Just for the purposes of clarity. The wheels on yours are Procomp 17*9 with 4.75 of backspace and -12? Tell us your tire specs too please.

So many responses. Hard to keep
Track of!

Thanks!!

Scratch that last request. I went back and read some of your old posts and remembered talking 70 vs 75. I am going with 70 and the offset on the pros are -6 so should tuck in a bit more.

All good. thanks again!

Thanks! Super helpful! It’s about what I would expect. I actually thought it would have come out more. snelldog, keep in mind that the ProComps are 4.75 vs I think MacBigButt said his are 4.5?
Somehow, I suspect it will be pretty comparable. Plus, the 70’s are slightly wider then the taller 75’s.

Regardless, love that white Sahara, I’ll post mine when she gets her new shoes!~ thank s for the pics!

So the only question left is which sidewall pattern? The one shown in MBB’s Post Or the alternate block pattern? Hmm

Meant to share these, as I know Snelldog was contemplating this size / wheel combo (all be it in the grappler) In the end, my 46yr old back kept me worrying over the E load. Nearly tried the Grappler, but after running the BFG since I was 19, I chose to forgo that extra 1” of height for familiarity and known comfort. 285/70/17 on ProComp 7069 17x9 / 4.75 and a -6. I really like the 75’s and wish the KO2 was available in that size. However, the combination of the wider footprint + offset stance extending beyond the flares is precisely what I was hoping for. Leaves me able to flex it in the short term. Hoped to wait for better photos then the parking lot outside wheel shop or Parking garage, but wanted to share for folks debating a pending choice.

Looks great! You can't go wrong with that classic style, particularly in flat black. It was my second choice.

But I can't figure out how you guys all manage to get pictures of your Jeeps when they are clean :)

Thanks, I love the 7069. It is a classic wheel, simple and flat! Believe me, I’m itching to get my JL dirty. I’ve had her 2 weeks... but have been been so busy with work, that all she’s seen is my train station and tire shop! (Or kids basebal, soccer practice etc) But, I’m set up for Tahoe snow and trails.. and looking forward to seeing dirt on that shiny granite~

So how did this play out? You get these shoes? Which sidewall did you put out?

So the only question left is which sidewall pattern? The one shown in MBB’s Post Or the alternate block pattern? Hmm

So i caved and got the Procomp 7069 like you. They look great, saves me almost $700. Going with the angular (aggressive side out). People seem to like it a lot more. Should have the jeep saturday and the wheels put on next thursday. You have proven it looks great. Thanks for the guidance!
