Can anyone definitively tell me if this set up will fit without rubbing on a stock vehicle?

Wheel specs are:

Size: 17" x 8.5"

Bolt Pattern: 5x5

Offset: +10mm

Tires are 285/70-17.

I know the Nittos run a bit wide. The wheel and offset i believe work in my favor. I am technically savvy but just can't wrap my head around this.

TIA!!

I emailed AEV a few days ago and they responded this:

Yes and no, the bolt pattern is the same between the two but the offset/backspacing of the JK wheels are not ideal for the JL. Also, the center bore of our wheels fits pretty tightly over the center backup camera shaft and may mark up the shaft if installed. We are working on wheels specific for the JL, but it will be a little while before they're available. JK wheels on a JL is not something we recommend, but it can be done if you were so inclined.

I read this as they want you to buy their new product over their old. Another way to increase their own product sales...at least I hope so since I already put the AEV Borah on my JL....no issues at all with fit that I can see and ride is no different than stock from what I can tell.

I also ready that as more of a yes and yes... Basically the issue was the rear backup camera and not actual fitment from my understanding of that email. Do you have any issues with your backup camera and the spare mounting up?

I just ordered the Savagre (pictured above) and am taking my chances. They are the same bore as the Borah so based on Mark195's comments I feel good about it.

Hoping this works!

Check out this post by VJ Smedlo, he had some trouble with the Savagre wheel... Let us know what you find out when they come in.

This is a great call out JLnew! Thank you. Disappointing but better to know. Open to suggestions for aluminum steelies that will fit nicely. To bad on these. I like them

Just checked the Mickey Thompson site and noticed that the bore size is .03 smaller than the Sidebiter III that I put on. I know the plastic cover doesn't fit very well, it doesn't seem to go back far enough to lock on, so its a tight fit on mine. I've left the cover off for now.

Maybe the thickness of the material at the bore on the wheel is enough to make a difference and be causing grief with some wheels.

Also keep in mind that the AEV wheel is a +10 offset and 8.5" so the overall fitment isn't going to be the same as a 9" rim with -12 offset. Until reading AEV's response to you, I had actually thought the AEV wheel would be a better fit than the Mickey Thomson since it's closer in overall orientation to the stock.

I'm thinking any of the 9" -12 offset rims will work.

I like the look of the Classic IIIs or the 69's over the other two you are looking because I'm not a fan of the fake beadlock or fake two part rim look.

Truth is we are all early adopters so its a bit of trial and error.

I also asked AEV what the "Ideal" backspacing/offset is for the JL since they mentioned that the JK specs were not ideal for the JL.
Their response was:

"That's something our engineers are still working on so unfortunately I don't have access to that information at this time."

I was confused because the "mopar" beadlocks look mighty similar to that of the AEV borahs and mopar has them in the JL performance parts catalog. I assume there is a difference in the backspacing/offset of the AEV Borah's and the Mopar Beadlocks though

Thanks for the feedback and opinions! I like the 2 you picked as well. Loved the fact that the AEV's were 8.5 and with a positive offset. Feel like that would have tucked the wheel in a bit. My only concern with 9" and -12 is it poking way out beyond the fender with 285/70s. Having said that I am likely to take the plunge all the same.
