ORDER TRACKING for your Jeep Wrangler

I know this may sound trivial to most here but I was just on Jeep Chat and was issued my VIN#. I know I still have many weeks to wait but this is the first good news I’ve received. I have called Jeep chat every day for the last 2 weeks and my order didn’t show up so I thought my dealer screwed something up. So now I’m in the dreaded D status...at least it’s finally moving.

I ordered on 2/28. I just got off of Jeep Chat where i'd inquired about my VIN. I was given the following response:

Thank you for holding taking a look over the information I am showing the following on the order. The order has been accepted within the system and will be scheduled for build once there is allocation.
· Having allocation means that there is room in the schedule for the order.
· FCA's scheduling team can schedule orders out for up to 30 days to ensure there is enough demand to keep the line running
: Currently no VIN has been given yet.

They said I should check back next week for the VIN. I'm the least patient person in the world, this is going to be agony!

This is my first post, but I have been reading for a few months and the information that can be found here is fantastic! This forum allowed me to find a dealer about 40 miles away that sold me my new Jeep (JLUR in Granite Crystal!!!) for 5% under invoice. I received my VIN yesterday, about 4 days after I placed my order. I am hoping some of you can help me on how you go about tracking your order. My daughter is coming home from Oregon for 2 weeks on April 13 (I live in RI) and I think she is as excited as I am about my new Jeep. I am hoping and praying I have it by then. Any help would be appreciated!

Both my ignorance and good luck(?) may once again risk my getting flamed her, as my immediate question above.

So I spoke with someone on Jeep Chat who gave me a VIN for my VON and said that "my order has completed the build process and is pending quality inspections to ensure that standards are met prior to releasing the vehicle."

further going on to say, "the phase it's in now, honestly I do not see it being in for more than 1 day as I have never seen a vehicle in it for more than one day. "

So--any color commentary on what this means? The rep wouldn't give me a code (not that I even know these codes). He says, "policy changes find us not using these anymore."

Whatever. So...what happens now? Does it get on a train to a depot not far away from the Vienna, VA Koons dealership I ordered it from (yes, I have reached out to the dealer for further info, haven't heard yet.)

Let me guess. I'm at the stage where a committee is to first sit down and take a vote on whether they want to even vote on whether they want to build my JL now, right?

I wish the old Jeep order tracking system still worked (MOTS). I am beyond grateful for all of the effort that is put in for the order tracking system on here, but feel bad that someone is doing this on their own time. Jeep should see the massive interest on this forum and the other that shall not be named that charges for the service as an indicator for customer need. They could even charge a few dollars with each order to allow the access to the system.

I wonder if they would open up the ability for an API call into their system so someone could build an app that would connect into it, it would be a pretty simple app to create, or even website. I would even volunteer my time to ensure the security aspect is up to banking standards.

Until then, watching for the order tracking to open back up on here. Having a little more information than the dealer can provide daily will be great since I need to go to Conway AR to pick it up once it’s in.

Nope that’s real. Ny sucks. I fully plan on buying it out at th be just can’t afford the finance options so I don’t care about the mileage. Plus I don’t do a Tom of driving anyway

I contacted Jeep Chat last night and asked for an update on my build status. I ordered on 2/2/2018 and was assigned a VIN within a few days. Last night she said it was in status D until 8 days ago and then it went to D1. She had no further information. So, about 22 days in D and 8+ in D1 and I still don’t have an estimated ship date. I ordered a JLUR Punk’n with dual tops and a few other bells and whistles.

Just got off with Live Chat and was told that there is no indication in the system that the premium soft top is not available. I have been in JB for the past week and was told daily through chat that the soft top is out of stock and holding off the shipping of my JLUR. I was advised to check back for the ETA. Does this mean that the soft top is now available?

Eventually (soon most likely) your dealer will be the one to provide a ship date. That date, will be the day you get into E status. Now, once you’re in the build phase, Jeep Chat will still tell you you’re in D1, so it’s best to just tune out for a little while and ride the waves of emotion blindly, until your dealer calls for you to come get it. That’s what I’m doing at this point... Been long enough already, and I’m barely getting started at E status yesterday

I was on with Jeep chat this morning and my rubicon has been on jb status for 18 days. They said it was most likely due to the preminum sunrider soft top being backordered (I ordered the dual top). They said the top shows to be available mid March. I ordered 1/30. So it looks likes I won’t be seeing mine until April

Well we got conflicting information from Jeep Chat. My build is in "I" status and has been built as well but behind yours which is in JB.. I asked if shortage of soft tops could delay my order as I ordered dual tops and was told No and that any shortage of tops are not issues with orders that have already been built. I wonder which is correct? Edit: I take that to mean that they do not complete builds unless all parts are available.

Ordered on 2/28 got VIN from Jeep chat this morning and my dealer sent me the order confirmation and told me I was in D status! Now gotta wait it out
