Just picked it up. Saying goodbye to Ol' Blue and hello to Firecracker Red Sahara with Selec-Trac.
And then the worst luck on the way home - rock to the windshield and a big crack. I put 3 miles on it!.
Those are the standard A/T tires that come with the Sahara, right? As opposed to the all season option? I like the look!

Correct - I had a choice of Goodyear or Bridgestone. I had the Bridgestones on my 2014 and they did fine for my use - that being hunting trips here in SD - where you may run into all kinds of weather - especially winter. And the MAIN reason I went with a Sahara is the Selec-trac in winter driving. Now since this forum is just for JLUR (according to the vast majority of posts) - those folks may disagree with me. If the Rubicon came with Select-trac I would have did a JLUR. In fact my Sahara probably costs more than most Rubicons.

2/19/18 UPDATE:

Tracking is currently CLOSED for new orders. We will announce when it opens back up again. Thank you for your patience!

I just got my Von and posted yesterday, do I repost again once it opens back up? I don't want to miss out on this awesome opportunity, thank you for making this happen, this is amazing.
=====================================================================================================================================================

We are excited to officially announce our Order Tracking Service for all JLWF members!

**Update: Note that only ONE order per user is allowed**

Here are the details:

What is order tracking? :whatsgoingon:
Our ability to track your Wrangler order (U.S. and Canada orders only) means you'll be able to follow the status of your order from the time of order to arrival at your dealership. You'll know when your order has been scheduled for production, the current stage of production, when it completes production, when it's shipped and when it arrives at your dealership! :champagne:

Is there a fee? :piggybank:
Our tracking service is complimentary for all JLWF members! We just ask that you participate in our discussion forums and whenever possible please support future site sponsors and advertisements if it fits with your plans.

How can I start tracking my order? :time:
1) Vote AND Post what you've ordered in the "What have you ordered" thread (REQUIRED).
2) reply below to this current thread with your order's VON # AND ORDER DATE (this is located on your order sheet from your dealer).
3) once we have seen your post, we will add your VON to the tracking list.
4) we will contact you with a password to open the tracking spreadsheet (discussed below).

How do I receive tracking updates? :ontheloo:
Once or twice a day (morning and/or afternoon), we will upload the latest tracking spreadsheet which contains the latest updates for all orders we're currently tracking. The tracking spreadsheet file will be attached to this first post and can be opened with the password you received earlier.

Will there be support provided for specific TRACKING questions I have?
This thread will be overseen by user JLWF Dealer Guy (our resident Jeep dealer) who will try to answer your tracking-related questions on a regular basis and as time permits. Please note that JLWF Dealer Guy cannot accept private messages and although we will try our best, we cannot guarantee that every question will/can be answered.

**For all non-tracking related questions related to general ordering and pricing, please ask in the JLWF "Ask-A-Jeep-Dealer Thread"

LAST UPDATE: 3-1-18 SPREADSHEET (ATTACHED)

You do have at least one member that agrees with you! I ordered a Sahara for the same reason.

I got the Sahara b/c I preferred the interior. I know I'm in the minority here but I like the leather dash vs. red on the Rubi. Easier to do mods on exterior than interior.

Looks AMAZING!! That is my exact color setup. Sorry to hear about the windshield. Hopefully you do not have any delays getting a new one.

Looks Awesome!
My 2011 JK received a rock to the windshield the first time I drove it to work - less than 50 miles on it - it sucks.
You are probably already aware - but if you turn it in to your insurance, make sure you get a OEM windshield. On a new vehicle, the Ins. Co. should have no trouble with the OEM - thats what they did for me in 2011. Our Grand Cherokee was 3 years old with 30,000 miles when it needed replaced, Insurance did not want to put OEM back in, they wanted to use aftermarket - long story short - they eventually did use the Jeep OEM.

The OEM Grand Cherokee windshield was about $250 more than the aftermarket one.

If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge for delivery? I had considered going that route, but due to a having a vehicle to trade in, I sort of passed on the idea. I thought about just selling the current vehicle on my own, but had more concerns about out of state taxes and registration.
Yes they are charging to shipping by truck from AR to AZ half way across the country $895.00. For me it is more then covered by savings in tax if I buy in state I have to pay county plus city tax, we’re I live tax is any ware from 7.99% to 10.5% depends on were you purchase, my ripoff dealer was $4120.00 my out of state purchase is state only 5.6%. I pay for shipping plus money saved.

I was fortunate not to have to deal with any out of state penalties, even though I bought out of state. Good luck with everything:)

Normal? No. Does it happen to people randomly? Yes.

I was stuck in "I" for 5 days, then went to JS for 13 days.

JS is essentially storage. Mine was stored up in Taylor, MI while I was in JS.

Mine was either waiting for a train or waiting for a part to arrive. They wouldn't really clarify why.

And, when mine moved back to Toledo it immediately went KZ and shipped the same day. Seemed like it was just waiting for a CA train.
Thanks for your reply. How long was your train ride to CA? I am in Sourhern California

Company Car - but waiting on my Wrangler JLUR :)
I know the soft top is believed to be the reason for the delay but I have a dual top and mine was in JB for about a week and when KZ as of 2/21. Yesterday my dealer updated my delivery eta from 3/16-3/20 to 3/4-3/8. You can see all the info in my signature if you are not on mobile
I've been stuck in JB for 16 days now waiting on a soft top. Dealer said they will not release unless complete, and it's too late to cancel the dual top / change the invoice. Really disappointing to have a fully built car with a hard top, and get delayed by over a month as a result of them running out of stock on soft tops..

Delivery date turned out to be about 3 days before their estimate, she came in 2/23 (estimate was 2/26-3/2) so about 7 weeks from order to delivery — say hello to Raven! First mod done she got her tint at 65 miles. Absolutely love this thing so far and well worth the wait and anxiety, she’s a blast! The 6-speed is terrific most of you should just save the $2 grand. Was only the 2nd manual JL the largest NYC metro/tri-state dealer has seen so far and the first was a Sahara. Will post more pics to the black JL thread, she is making friends everywhere fast — she immediately became the star on the dealer’s lot and it’s crazy how many people stop and ask about these.
