I've tried the long distance trade thing. I've found if ordering, most dealers will estimate a value looking 6-8 weeks out. You should also expect to get rough KBB value on the trade. I've been given a trade value ranging from $32k to $35,500 when KBB says $38K (2017 RAM Rebel loaded) all saying it could change by the time the JL arrives. They have also offered to take my trade now and hold any equity for new JL. If you have negative equity then you'll have to cover the difference. Thanks to all for this info. I have a 2016 JKUS that i love but considering a new JL. My deal would involve a trade to get the tax savings. Anyone done a deal long distance with a trade? Should I expect to get KBB trade in value?
