ORDER TRACKING for your Jeep Wrangler

Much appreciated. I definitely think Jeep Chat is just throwing out answers to get people out of the queue as quickly as possible. I'll just sit back and wait like everyone else...

The suspense is killing me...

Yeah - I feel that the majority of the time they just review the previous chat and give you the status given there.

They have gone back and forth several times with statuses for my order alone. I know it has been a similar experience for quite a few others.

First, I just wanted to start by saying that as I new member, it's really great to see the sense of community that Jay and everyone has established here, and really reinforces my decision to get my first Jeep.

I do; however, have a newbie question for all, as this was my first customer order of a vehicle...

I managed to get on the Order Tracking list, but my status is not showing any type of change at all. I have no problem with that, but here is my rub:

I placed my order on 1/31 and my dealer came back on 2/5 with a VIN and estimated delivery date of 2/14, which I know was ludicrous speculation. I have since been told by my dealer that my order is being built, but have since been informed by Jeep chat that I sat in D status for 17 days and have been sitting in D1 for the past 10 days with no movement.

I would assume that my dealer probably has more accurate info than Jeep chat (or they are blowing smoke), but it seems odd to me that even our tracking sheet doesn't show me in D1...even after Jeep has confirmed it multiple times. Does this sound normal to anyone?

Same boat as you here as well! Completely normal. I’m being tracked and have been D1 for 16 days (allegedly). But doesn’t show on the tracker. It will once yours begins the build process (Framing, etc) from what others are telling me.

I live in AZ and ordered through Kim. She is beating any deal I can get. I have 3 ways to get my Jeep when it arrives, fly, drive or have it shipped to my door. She is getting a big discount on shipping. We choose shipping to our door. No miles on the Jeep. She is the the best dealer I have ever worked with. I highly recommend her.

Add me to the list. First dealer went back on his original offer so I just placed my second order minutes ago with Jim Marsh in Vegas. I ordered my first one on 12/6 and it seemed to get stuck in every build status for weeks at a time. It’s still sitting there in JS where it finally moved to on 2/20 after 3 weeks stuck in I. Not sure I really wanted that one anyway. Here’s hoping the second one moves much faster! ​

Sounds like they used you to get another order in idk why they would not honor a $500 discount when it's an FCA discount

They were looking at any way to get out of deal. They can get MSRP plus 2500.00 add on in Phoenix. It got to the point that I would not trust them with the Jeep. It was best to place a new order.

I would of been a dick and taken the 500 hit to cut their profits short honestly. But that's just me...after the bonus drive rebate it washes off if you end up getting but that is IF you get it.
On the other hand, they could add their nitrogen package, paint protection etc without your approval and then really force u out the deal. Fucking insane....it pays when people know someone at the dealership but it's not everyone's case
