1st mod, new antenna

Well it isn’t much, but I switched out the long silver antenna for a 13 inch black one. Many more mods to come but this is the first one to arrive and had time to install.

Front bumper, sliders, wheels and tires within about a week will help but this is the official first mod!!

Looks like I have the same one. I got so tired of the stock one getting stuck on trees and whipping around when I'd forget to take it off. I do notice FM will fade in and out more with the shorter antenna, but I very rarely listen to it anyways.

I haven’t even driven it since putting it on but will try it out over the weekend. Have the free year of Sirius right now and use Apple Music quite a bit. So if it’s good in the city I’ll be fine with it.

I purchased both the 13" and 7" and, at least where I live, the reception difference was negligible. So, I went with the 7". It's completely out of line of sight while driving the vehicle (the 13" isn't). And since I listen to SXM or stream 99.9% of the time, the reception difference was a non-factor for me. It wasn't my first mod but that's the same antenna I put on yesterday. I put new rock sliders/steps on first and then a Warn Zeon winch, then the antenna. I don't listen to AM/FM so it wasn't a priority. Lol

Haha!! I think I have this one covered. Going to install the spacer lift Tuesday evening though and that will be a bit more challenging.
