I was looking at the options in the jeep builder and it shows that for the Sahara, the infotainment system group upgrade (the one that gets you the 8.4" screen) includes the Alpine premium audio for $1,295. If you add the Alpine premium audio by itself, that option is $1,295. Am I missing something here?

Yes, the infotainment group includes the alpine system.

It's $1495.

The builder price is incorrect.

Yes, the Electronic System Infotainment Group ($1295) includes the Alpine Premium Audio.

Note: If you have a 2dr. 2018 JL the Alpine sub woofer resides in the rear cargo compartment so you lose access to the cargo compartment. Not that big a deal and worth the trade off but you should be aware of this.

Oh wow so for $200 more over the Alpine system only, you get the bigger touchscreen, GPS nav, the UConnect services, etc? Seems like a no brainer if you were gonna do the Alpine system anyway. Thanks

Lots of dealers ordered Saharas and Rubis early before pricing and got the alpine but didn’t check the infotainment because of price concerns (pre price release).... I don’t think that going to be a very popular selection, it’s worth every bit of $200 more for the 8.4.

Could you further explain? All
Pictures I have seen show the subwoofer on the side of the cargo compartment. Isn't it also in the cargo compartment of the unlimited? How does it interfere differently in the cargo Department of a two-door versus a four-door?

4 Dr JL it is on right side. With 2 Dr JL the sub woofer resides in the cargo hole. Nothing else to explain.

If I'm not mistaken, you still need to pay to activate the navigation. Don't take my word thou, haven't followed up on it since I got a sport s

To my knowledge there is no activation fee for the NAV.

Yes, you will have to pay for yearly NAV updates if you desire them.

But the car comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, those maps are gonna be miles better than whatever Jeep uses.

Yes, I agree. I'm a Waze and Google maps user... I would not find myself paying to update the factory Nav maps. But, as I told the guy that posted/asked, there is no activation fee in regard to the factory Nav.
