I'd like to offer my perspective since I'm one of the newbies who tried this morning (but missed the cut @ #63). I only recently signed up as a member, but have been reading and following this forum for months. I was finally able to order my jeep, and yes, I finally joined bc I wanted to track my jeep order. I have not posted anything really, but that is bc I don't feel I have anything offer, and the questions I have have already been asked so I'm reading a lot. I appreciate all of the knowledge and sharing, but most of all I appreciate how nice and encouraging everyone seems to be to each other. That will make it easier to post in the future when I do have a new question or something to share. Thanks for being kind to the newbies!

I'd like to offer my perspective since I'm one of the newbies who tried this morning (but missed the cut @ #63). While I appreciate your honesty, part of why the forum exists is to be a somewhat social space. The shared love for Jeeps of any kind and the pure frustration with the order process is part of the whole experience IMHO. I truly get excited when a member gets their JL delivered, honestly because everyone that gets delivered, my order gets closer to being delivered. I didn't sign up for a tracking spot, partly because that is part of the excitement finding the information on my own, ribbing the JCC folks. Welcome, please feel free to ask questions, yes there is a load of information to take in, I read posts daily compliments of your tax dollars.

Received confirmation of KZ status today so I didn't enter for the tracking service. Thank you however for providing it. If anyone missed getting in for round two I missed the first by a few days and was able to get a rough idea by tracking the availability of the build sheet and window sticker and matching it to what the dealer provided. Remember you are the customer and for an average $40-50k+ vehicle call/mail them every few days and don't feel bad about it. It's ultimately their sale and commission -- they can easily look it up as well. Jeep Chat I found uses canned responses that were maybe 50% accurate (possibly their system lags behind?) to what the dealer's system provided. I was quoted 4-6 weeks on average for factory orders, it looks like about 8 for me so not too far off their estimate -- details on order are below.

VON: 1/8/18
D: 1/11/18
VIN: 1/15/18
D1: 1/15/18
E: 2/5/18 (*Reported as original ship date)
* Statuses between E and JB are murky with dealer only updates but she was built within this window
JB: 2/10/18
KZ: 2/19/18
Delivery: Tentative for on or about 2/26/18 (OH to NJ -- I'll update with the accuracy of this)

Same boat as @Whesea

As I read the 400+ pages of anxiety ridden keystrokes, and my anxiety skyrocketed, I made an active decision not to post unless it was a legitimate question, or a positive contribution for a bit. As this is my first Jeep, I dint have a whole lot to contribute on most topics. That being said, prior to this post, I was 100% on post:like ratio. One could make the argument for quality over quantity, right?

I've heard feedback from many members and believe me, I hear you all and wish we could help everyone.

We considered a minimum post count but that encourages spam and low quality "fake" posting to achieve some arbitrary limit. Also considered a Join Date cutoff but that unfairly excludes those who just missed an (also arbitrary) date.

We MAY consider different options on the next round to try and find a good balance between rewarding longer-standing members while remaining welcoming to new users (we were all there at one point).

That said, we do hope the new guys and gals who joined our list become active members who contribute to the community.
