ORDER TRACKING for your Jeep Wrangler

Alright. So I believe my dealer was correct about Jeep having a "part" backordered.

My JLUR left the storage facility it was sitting in Taylor, MI - and is now back at the plant in Toledo.

Likely adding the backordered part and throwing it on a train. Hopefully. It sat in storage in Taylor for 10 days exactly.

Any idea what part it was?

I have been in JB since 2/1. My initial Rubicon order has been delivered and immediately sold. The only difference in the two orders was the Remote Proximity Keyless Entry. It wasn’t available on 12/14 when my first order was placed. The second order went in on 1/8. I hope that is not the hang up here.

What would be the ethics in joining this list? My Jeep went KZ a day or so ago and has a dealer ETA of 3/05-3/09. I'd like to track it more closely if I could but I don't want to take up a spot that could be used by someone else throughout the process from beginning to end.

I think you pretty much answered your question by asking it...
I know one user already mentioned not wanting to take up a spot while being a few days away from delivery while some here are weeks (or months ?) out.

There are few on that list that have been stuck in E for several days as well. I’m curious what was backordered and if it is only affecting Rubicon purchases.

Yea I would feel kind of like a dick taking up a spot but I would like to just because even though I’ve been told delivery eta of 2/25-3/2 but some sources other sources tell me it still hasn’t left Toledo.

I probably won’t sign up but maybe if they said alright anyone that’s super close who wants a spot but doesn’t want to take a spot so close we’ll allow someone else to hop in your spot once you’re delivered then I would haha.

That’s probably a headache for them though so I doubt it. They already are going above and beyond for us.

I know a number of people have indicated that if they are shipping already, they won't be joining. I am in JB myself, and I am debating whether I should try to get on the action. KZ is damn close to the finish line.

I’m in JB (shocker) and I’m not going to sign up. I’m letting the poor souls in D or D1 grab a slot. That’s my thinking.
