I love dachshunds. Don’t currently have one in my kennel, but they are the little dog with the heart and courage of a big dog.

And I don’t mean the false bravado of yappy anklebiter breeds.

Dachshunds mean business now. They do not recognize superior force. To a dachshund, there is no such thing.

My Samson would charge a 400 pound wild hog with full intention of killing it.

Fortunately I always had a rifle.

Sally and Buddy are my current pups. Sally is a bird dog who thinks she’s a hog dog, and Buddy is a Catahoula Hog dog who KNOWS he’s a hog dog.

I love dogs. I try to love people, with intermittent success.
