Waiting for my pre-ordered RR Backbone to ship from Rack Outfitters...should be next week based on their latest note.

I went with the RLT600 Quick Release Leg setup for quick removal. Hoping the slightly taller stance doesn't introduce too much additional wind noise.

Glad to see this finally out there - congrats and good luck!

This is the one I actually wanted but I got fed up with their delays that I went with the Maximus-3 brackets :(. I'm happy with it but man the Backbone seems like it's much easier to remove.

Does anybody know the static rating for the Rhino Rack? I assume the 265lbs is a dynamic load rating.

The only inside bracket is shown in the picture and it lies out of the way against the wall of the hard top. The Rhino Rack sits about 3 inches above the roof so I can get my hand under the rack to tighten things. I don’t know if the Maximus is too close to the roof to get a hand underneath.

It is connected to the roll cage at the front of the rack and to the backbone at the rear.

I don’t hear any more wind noise than before with the Rhino Rack.

Is it connected (bolted in), or does it rest on the rollbar? Sorry to split hairs, just want or understand.

In the front, it goes through the top to rest on a connector that is bolted to the roll bar. In the back it is bolted to the large brackets (shown in the picture) that attach to the bolts that hold down the hard top.

Can you remove your hardtop with the roof rack mounted on it?

I believe so. It looks like you can unscrew the mounting bolts and it should pull straight off. However I have not attempted that just yet.

I ordered one too from Northridge 4x4. I too ordered the quick release feet. They are a little bit taller. I hope they don’t look too goofy and can still fit in my garage. The latter is what worries me...
