The rubber gasket and styrofoam end pieces can be swapped…in addition to reusing some of the fasteners (screws, spring clips, etc.)….but, you’ll need to purchase additional hardware. None of the “main” components (surround, grill inserts, etc.) can be repurposed from your older grill.

Can you get away with just running the side rails?...the wind noise will be significantly reduced. I had the same issue.

I kept it as small as possible to ensure a tight fit... went with 1/4" bit.

I purchased the following aftermarket items to complete the install... Plastic Rivet Retainer (50-pack) Tool Aid S&G 19400 Rivet Tool for Plastic Rivets ...no issues with either. [Edit] Also, don't forget a good quality plastic fastener removal tool... Lisle 35260

That's correct...you will need to drill ~4-new holes (for each trim piece) to completely secure. The remaining holes line up with your existing trim. This was a pretty easy 2-hr project. Here's a bunch of after pics...
