these are new RK UCA’s, driver side seems wedged or bound up on sleeve, pass side seems fine and centered? Jeep is on flat level ground. Possibly it’s too extended? Thanks

As said above, they shouldn't be cocked off like that. I also notice that the CA seems to be at quite an angle compared to the passenger side. Have you measured to make sure your axle is centered in the vehicle? Both my UCA's come down to the mounts at the same angle, I think you may need a track bar adjustment to get everything centered up. It could just be the photographs but it looks off to me.

What happened to the end of the arm adjacent to the jam nut? looks like it was hit with an angle grinder or sander maybe? Powder coat appears to be ground off, end of arm doesn't look square. The joint itself needs to be adjusted, just loosen the jam nut, turn the joint housing and tighten the jam back up. Also, you must re-install the factory heat shielding or you'll risk damage to the joints.

Thanks for your help! 4wp did the install and said they had to shorten it just a bit to get it shorter than stock arm in order to may change to caster, went from 4.6 to 6.6. I since have a bad shimmy and vibration, not sure that this joint would cause that or maybe just too much caster? I plan to bring it back to them and see what’s going on, maybe I’ll just have to put oem uppers back and just get lower adjustables to get proper caster.

Man, I'd make 4WP replace the control arm they destroyed and then take the whole thing to a competent off road shop. Did you do the entire kit or just UCA's?

Just RK uppers, the rest of kit is icon stage 3 with fixed lowers.

The joint misalignment will not cause a wobble/shimy/vibration, nor would excessive caster on a JL with a factory front axle as the front driveshaft is not spinning in 2 wheel drive. That would be very interesting. Leads me to tire balance thoughts initially.

I'm unfamiliar with the length of the ICON front lower arms, with our front lowers, 7+ degrees of caster is attainable with those uppers and doesn't cause vibration. Certainly interesting.

I agree, lift was already on and ok, other than wander and unstable steering feel but no vibration or shimmy until new UCAs and caster pushed to 6.6 and toe in, maybe toe in is contributing. I did have wheel balance checked afterwards because it feels like that, but all is good and only minor balance adjustments made and still same vibration and shimmy. Maybe something was left loose? I’ll have them recheck and correct toe out and caster to 6 and see if it changes. Thanks for all your help

It's probably worth asking for a print out of the alignment sheet. It helps a ton in diagnosis.
