rubicon feels low

Hey guys, I’m lost in what is going on. My Rubi is fully stock besides different wheels - same size.

Just gonna get straight to to it. A few times now when getting into my jeep, it feels lower. It almost feels like my jeep has air suspension, and no air is in it. All the tires are at 40 psi. I'm not mechanically savvy, but maybe it has something to do with the control arms? I have no idea. Again, I'm totally lost on what this is.

I drove today today and had the same "issue". Immediately when I was driving it felt extremely low. I had my GF in the car too, and asked her if it felt low. She agreed, so i pulled over and looked. The front looked lower, like dipping. Again, I have no idea but something was off.

Has anyone experienced this? Am I just hungover? This is the third time I've experienced this.

I'm on stock tires and I have 17 1/2" of clearance to the just underneath the door.

Unrelated advice... 40 psi is a tad on the high side. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 32 - 36 is much more reasonable.

Have you or your lady friend been gaining a considerable amount of weight?

Do something scientific... Measure the distance between the ground and frame rails on a day it "feels" right. Then do the same on a day it doesn't. Probably a good idea to do it multiple times.

Choose a couple measuring points on your jeep, measure, then go to the dealership and measure those same spots on a Rubicon in stock.

17 1/2" of clearance to just under the door seems low...I'm rolling in a stock Sahara and have 22 1/2" to just underneath the door...18 1/2" to where the paint starts on the body.

Have you climbed underneath to see if something looks disconnected?
