Is anyone aware if the $500 "Golden Ticket" can be used is your JL has shipped? My dealer is telling me that if it is "in transit", I can actually purchase the JL and use my $500 coupon. Its frustrating. Order was 12/14. D1 was 1/4. JB was 1/15. KZ was 2/5. My delivery ETA was 2/28-3-3. Now its moved beyond 3/5. Expiration on coupon for all of us is 2/28. Has anyone heard of this or any concerns with "pre buying" a vehicle?

On a side note, I have never shown on Jay's sheet. He has never seen me on his system which has also been odd about my order. The only thing making me feel a little more comfortable is I can print my window sticker.......
My dealer said the same thing. You just have to be comfortable signing the paperwork for a vehicle that you haven’t actually seen yet.

I appreciate the response! That is also my concern about pre- paying while in transit. Also, would I own the vehicle and be responsible for shipping damage if I have already bought it? May not be worth the loss of sleep to save $500! I have already become obsessed with this whole situation much less add this to my list of issues......
My dealer also said it is not ours until we actually take possession of it. That leads me to believe that Jeep (FCA or dealer) would remain liable for shipping damage.

New to the forum! Ordered my JLU Sahara on 1/30, just heard from Alexander at Jeep chat that my ETA for shipping is 2/13. They told me check back tomorrow to see if that will change...definitely a lot quicker than i thought.

I was in status "I" for 24 days when I got to know that they've changed my VON and VIN (so probably getting a new car) as of Feb 1st.
Coming up on 2 months after the order...the new VIN is in status JB as of a few days ago.

Not happy...but at least hopefully I'll not get a lemon when eventually the car arrives.
How did you finally find this out? I’ve been in I for over 2 weeks.

Oh..interesting...when he said ship ETA I got excited lol. I didnt know that was the build date
It appears as though our JLs should be hitting the line at about the same time. I was given a shipping ETA of 2/13/18 as well.

How did you finally find this out? I’ve been in I for over 2 weeks.

Here is the latest update on my Jeep order placed on 12/14/2017 (was my second order so I can include the remote keyless proximity entry option). /Today, mistakenly the dealer sent me my old order's status as TZB, the new order is still in status "I" . I have noticed the old VIN in his status update, that is why I called him/.

Here comes the kicker:
However, the reason why I was stuck in status "I" for 24 days now is, because they have changed the VIN number on me apparently, so JAY was checking the wrong VIN lately.
The new VON is 90007141, new VIN is 1C4HJXFG9JW170482 entered into the Jeep system as of Feb 1st 2018 (the reason why Jeep chat insisted that they only see Feb 1st as status "I" start for some reason, and declined to update me on my order status lately).
I suspect - best case scenario, without conspiracy theories - , they have found some issues during quality check and have decided to manufacture a new car instead of try to fix it (I approve this decision, BTW, I do not want an already repaired and patched car out of the factory)

So, according to my dealer, the status of the new VON/VIN is JB - Shipped to body vendor."

My dealer said the same thing. You just have to be comfortable signing the paperwork for a vehicle that you haven’t actually seen yet.
Whey not we all ordered them with out seeing one. I didnt even have a firm price when I put my deposit on the one I ordered.

I was just told they were looking into why my Rubi has been stuck in I for so long and they said they would look into it and get back to me within 2 business days. But it seems like most people on here never hear back from them.

I was just told they were looking into why my Rubi has been stuck in I for so long and they said they would look into it and get back to me within 2 business days. But it seems like most people on here never hear back from them.
Took Jeep chat about two weeks I had given up hope. Thats when I was told that they would not be doing it till mid March at best. Waiting on 6 speed.

Jeep Chat said the same thing to me this morning. I’ve been in “I” for 15 days now. I’ll let you know if I hear back from them.

I just got off Jeep Chat and I ordered on Feb 5th and contacted them to start the wait.

They said, " waiting on an ETA for a ship date."

What?

Going to be a long wait.......
