@Smarrtazz I think I would really have to take anything the first dealer offered with a grain of salt. I really don't like playing games. And they seem to be trying to do just that...I mean really? If you were still interested wouldn't you be bugging them about your Jeep....did they just assume you weren't excited about it? I mean poor Mike (my salesman) gets an email from me every week! They are just hoping in a last ditch effort that you will cave and buy that one at a reduced price (their idea of a reduced price) instead of waiting to get the new one you ordered. Its ultimately up to you. Firecracker Red vs Granite. You have to decide what will make you happier..having a red jeep now at a higher price..or waiting a couple weeks for the granite at a better price. Whatever you decide I will stand with you! :fist bump:

Just to clarify, I also agree what @KY_Soldier said - it's not nice to cut out the dealer who is done well by you. For me, unless the first dealer beat the second by significant amount, I would stick with the second, but ultimately - we all have different circumstances - let's say (using hypothetical numbers here) $2k difference - for some it would be worth it, for some - not even close - it's not necessarily about morals, it's about personal situation.
And maybe it's not even a question because the 1st dealer won't even get close to what 2nd is offering.
And yeah... the first dealer needs is a higher risk, so that difference needs to be high enough.

Make them an offer. If they will do better than your current offer, run with it. Thats just business
For reference, my deal is invoice -5% (I do have a supplier pricing certificate), $170 in doc fees, and another $500 military rebate and $500 president's day bonus. All in all about $7k under MSRP on a loaded Rubicon JLU. Oh and the $500 bonus drive cash too. So ~$7500 off!

Sounds like a reputable joint... just to play devil's advocate (to your wondering about the games), I'll throw out there the so-called Hanlon's razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity". My impression based on (HIGHLY limited) experience with dealers is that there is a ton of pressure to sell, sales are "commoditized" and things fall through the cracks - it's the "throw $hit against the wall and see what sticks" mentality. Not trying to generalize here, just expressing what I've seen in what is, again, my HIGHLY limited experience.

Just my thinking - either they are so clueless that they don't track their own pipeline, or they are conniving. Also, just because they say "your order", doesn't mean it's actually yours - it could be just a tactic to get you into the door to sell you a "almost like yours" build. Do you have a VIN from the original order? Could try running it via sticker generator to see if it was actually built. If it is indeed your build and they are willing to come down to what the other dealer agreed on - maybe it's worth considering as a one-time transaction (I'd just never go back to this dealership afterwards). There are clearly delays on manuals, so you do have a talking point on canceling the other order.
I’m sure it is my original build and yes I did have a VIN. I get what you’re saying, but I’m a very loyal person (who else sticks with the Vikings) and Mike at Steve White Motors is a solid dude. It would have been much easier if my former dealer would have done this in December. They keep bombarding me with texts.

That's true, see what they'll offer you. If you can get more, then get it! But if you want him to shut up and leave your alone, tell him that the other dealer is giving you 5% under, can you match it? Either he can't and he'll stop calling or he'll call you back and say yes.
Haha..I like the way you think :)

Which one do you want? Red or Granite....start there first... this is a big purchase..no matter the deal....get the one that makes you happy. Otherwise you will hate writing that check every month.

Even if you do #2 dealer wrong, you can always take your JL to them for service/warranty work.

So you didn't completely abandon them. lol

Another question for @JAY or @JLWF Dealer Guy - Have any JLs been delivered while in KZ status but WITHOUT an ETA date?
Ive been in this position since Feb 3rd, and I talked to the Jeep Customer Chat, and they have no ETA updates.
Thanks
There's a few more California fellas that are sitting around with no movement. Myself included.

Very very very frustrating.

I was also thinking with the supposed delay on manuals, you could get it sooner rather than much later if that rumor is true. I didn't think your second one had started the building process yet, so maybe this could work out better. I'm not opposed to sticking with the dealer that was taking better care of you, but it either comes done to money or feeling good. I'd take the better deal over whichever one treated me nice. I wouldn't be so invested in the relationship with the dealer, its a business deal.
