This just in -- that "28" code was in fact the 2.0L turbo engine option and is NOW available for ordering!

It's showing as a $1000 upcharge ($890 invoice) over the base 3.6L engine.

Combined with the required 8-speed auto transmission, it's a $3,000 upgrade over the base manual 3.6L.

Ha! I got an email from my dealer yesterday saying I'm JB status, should be shipping soon. I said, "Well I guess that means the 2.0 and Sting-Gray will become available for order now. No way I cancel now. The uncharge does make it a little easier decision.

Excited as this is what I’ve been waiting for, was worried it was going to be even later in the year. May wait a bit longer to see the EPA numbers to see if it’s truly worth it.

Doesn't seem that bad... assuming one was getting an auto anyways. I wonder if this will continue the trend of many of the options being less expensive for us Canadians? The 8 speed is $1595 for us.

Hi Jay,
Great news thanks! Got one question any idea when the factory half doors will be available for the JL? Do you think by this summer?

Its going to be interesting in 2019 if the 2.0 will be standard/cheaper vs. BSG 3.6
