What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Since it is getting bug season in Florida, I wanted to protect my hood and possibly the windshield from bugs. I looked an a number of options and decided on the Auto Ventshade 436148 Aeroskin II Textured Black Flush Mount Hood Protector for 2018-2018 Jeep Wrangler JL and found it for $88 on Amazon. I like the shield since it matches the texture and color of the from bumpers and painted fender trim on my JLUR. You simply use the double sided 3M tape (included) to affix the shield to the hood. I love the low profile!

• I "told it telepathically" (my JL) that I was glad it was running well, and not part of that accident at Moab.
• I told myself I was glad that I was neither driver nor bystander of that accident wondering, for me, which would have been worse.
• I prayed for the recover in body and soul for those who were affected by this.
• I hoped people who became aware of this story realized that by in large the off roading Wrangler community is "uber" safety conscience and willing to help each other out, and that this wouldn't deter others, or the two victims, from returning to the trails someday, or have outsiders (I'm one) not "trash" the community that lives for such things.

And they will stain and eat your paint as bad as bird droppings in the hot FL sun!

Painted the my Sahara grille inserts “Polished Metal Metallic”, has a nice dark matte and metallic grit to it. Got rid of that cheap plasticky feel of the trim panels. Bumpers are next on the list.
