I had a good Quadratec day! Got about 2/3 of my order. Rest is back ordered. Yes credit card got maxed out. I switched to a higher cash back one just for this purchase. Still waiting on Metalcloak, Tazer, Maximus-3, shop press and few Amazon items. Got front bumper (dang it was heavy) , door straps, Quadratec floor liners and fire extinguisher installed at least. Maybe..... 3% done.Dear lort and I thought I had a good Amazon day...

Day Sixteen. Finished up the installation of my Smittybilt X20 10,000lb winch long with a Rusty’s winch mounting plate. Very nice directions included with Rusty’s winch plate mount. I’m less than impressed with the control box attachment for the winch. I really can’t believe that design ever got past a drafting check, much less an Engineering check. I ended up using two pairs of zip ties in each of the holes in the little castings. I think it’ll be fine, but if I have to I’ll fab up something a bit more substantial.
One note: the instruction with the winch plate say to discard that little plastic trim piece that goes between the bumper and the grill. I didn’t like seeing the frame raises and fog light wires, so I trimmed it to clear the winch and reinstalled. I think it looks more finished now.
Oh, and while I was at it I deleted the bumper extension before starting the job. That made the bumper removal and reinstall an easier one-person job.

Just the lightingDid you do some color-matching to the Granite on that bumper or is it just the light hitting different angles?
That cover is just too big. I removed it myself. Its just a velcro closure. I put the sheath in my recovery bag in case I need it. I don't believe its needed except to protect the rope when the rope is attached to another vehicle/structure and rubbing against the other vehicle in some "rope damaging" way. But for most trips I have been on, Winch goes directly to a direct access point (bumper mount) where the rope/cable never is bound up against anything.Oh and my Factor 55 Flatlink came in the mail on Friday, so I put that on too. And... after struggling with the protective sheath on the winch rope trying to get it past the fairlead, I’m trying a mod where I have flattened it out and put on a few zip ties to keep flat and hopefully keep it from sliding down the rope and getting all twisted as is passes through the fair lead.

Great looking ride. What are you going to do for side mirrors?Rugged Ridge tube doors got here today.
I wasn't sure I would like the look but they are pretty sharp in person and I feel more comfortable with my 10 year old in the jeep than with no doors.
