The 2.0 is my favorite jeep engine since my TUPY head 4.0 engine. So far, I have nothing but great things to say about it's on road and wheeling ability and consistency.

Looked at a dealership in Dallas that had 0 v6s. All were 2.0 and no manual. Needless to say that was a quick stop. Haha

Yeah who knows it might end up being superb. Anyone look into the engine’s components? The Pentastar is highly regarded because it’s very well made. Are the 2.0’s pistons forged, mains studded, all that jazz?

I wonder how that rear battery and mild hybrid tech at the wheels would handle water fording. At the same time, Fiat knows that most Wranglers won’t ever ford through water and mud. And I have a feeling that heavy duty users will specifically avoid the 2.0 so the 2.0 has even less of chance to water ford.

Ford has done the same thing the Ford Rapture $70K and has a Ecoboost engine.

From what I’ve read in the forums and seen locally, most dealer lots are full of the 2.0s. Seems that there’s a push to sell those for some reason.
The push is CAFE standard mandates from the government. 2.0 has a better MPG rating so FCA is pushing them.

Ordered 02/04/19, picked up 5 weeks later (just a few days ago). I also wanted the 3.6 and wanted mine optioned exactly the way I wanted it and am very glad I ordered. I almost caved and bought one that was in stock but didn't have a few options, and now that I actually do have what I want I couldn't imagine if I had been impatient enough to just go for whatever I could that was close.

Oh, and on a side note, when you order a Wrangler, the window sticker will show your name on it which is kinda cool. :)

I had the same issue here in SoCal so I ordered a JLUR with the 3.6 on February 18th and it’s on the train heading west dealer said it will be here in two weeks or less
I ordered mine February 20th and I still don't even have a VIN.

Yes the window sticker detail is super super cool! Would be very hard to part with the vehicle in the future for sure-which would be a good thing on my part. Thanks for the info :) I agree order and get exactly what you want.

Why don't you ask your dealer for the VIN and VON unless you aren't going to track the progress and just wait for it to get in and then hope the dealer calls you?

Hi Kelly,

Everyone gave you good advice, just order one with exactly what you want. It will actually be less money as you won't pay for the expensive things you don't need.

is it just me, or is it really hard to find a 2019 Rubicon 4 door, auto, with a 3.6...is there an issue? a back order? or are they super popular right now? Dealer did a 200 mile search and found 1 with the options I would want, but not my color choice. I did a nationwide search and found 4 not with what I would want...dealer said best to order, but what’s up?
Order what you want. I was looking for my Rubicon, for 10 months(obviously not in a rush). Started looking when the auto show came around and studying up on all the specs and options for it. When I was looking, I only seen one other that was like the way I wanted it but, couldn’t get the dealer past $600 off of MSRP and had to let that one pass. Then found the same one a few months later 150 miles away and got a great price. I didn’t want that one to get away. I believe you can get a great deal for a Wrangler if you order it. All the best on your search!!
