LED reflector housings?

Hey guys, i come from the JT forum, but i'm wondering about the JL reflector LED headlighting.

I've never heard of a Reflector LED headlight, only projector LED headlight.

On most forums, people say to never put an led bulb into a halogen reflector housing.

Anybody know what makes the Jeep reflector LED housing, different than a halogen reflector housing?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that reflector LEDs are fairly prevalent. Projectors (whether they are halogen, HID or LED) tend to have sharper cutoffs. I have also seen "combination" LEDs as well where the low beam is a projector and the high beam is a reflector (like on the Audi Q5 per IIHS).

it looks like the oem LED JL lights are projector in the middle with reflector above and below it.
