newbie question... Rubicon stock wheels are 33inch so if one was to run 35inch tires on stock wheels it will add total of 2inch to overall height of the car correct? Now if I were to get a 4inch lift kit with 35 inch tires the total overall height would be roughly 6 inches taller than a stock Rubicon?

Just 1" of height. You just measure the radius to get the height.

Ok so 35 inch tire is actually only 1inch taller than the stock 33's?

Correct it will only add 1 inch overall height to the jeep. The tire itself is 2" taller.

Anyone have experience with Nitto ridge grappler and MT ATZ P3?

I’ve seen a lot of discussion on here about the Nitto but not much on MT, not sure of the reason for that??

I'm not sure I looked at that specific tire, but I thought the Nittos were too heavy for my liking.

Considering that pic is of a sport, which would have a 3.45:1 ratio, going from 31.47 (stock size) to 37" tires would practically make that JL undrivable, or at least completely gutless. Not to mention inadequate brakes and severely premature front suspension/steering component failure. Time will tell, but 35s are probably as big as you want to go before digging deep into your wallet and upgrading all kinds of other parts.

Discount Tire Direct shows ok for 7.5" rim width. In fact, they show all 3 of the above choices available for stock rim width. Good news!
Sorry I've never used discount tire before. what's the exact bolt pattern for the JLU's since there all the same? Discount is showing 4 or 5 different choices for 5 bolt...?

I posted this in another thread, but does anyone know why Nitto offers the Ridge Grappler in both a 315/70/17 as well as a 35x12.5x17? Both are load E, so I can’t find out why they offer both.

because they can sell the 35" for $100 more...just talked to a guy from Michelin about that today. He said that they frequently do that and they always sell the Imperial measured tires for more. Same tire but the metric is like .2 narror and usually .4 taller.

Why not just only sell the imperial size and always make $100 more? Worried they’ll lose business to the others?

Seems so weird - my mind just wants some other actual difference to make it make sense :lol
