Wow. That was some interesting reading in the preceding few pages... Well, all I did was install this Smittybilt roller fairlead license plate holder. You might say it was a "bright" idea, no?

Now this is fair criticism. I could not agree more, anymore that if I disagreed I'd respect your opinion. Besides, people earn my likes for making what I think are good points, not agreeing with me.Wow, sorry I missed the rack!
I give him kudos for inventing different things.
I do however caution building and using things that might endanger other motorists in case their in a chance of breakdown. Not saying this is the case here but with a purchased product you have their company to fall back on if a failure happens.
I myself did not buy a $55,000 well tuned machine to throw homebuilt items on it. I am 56 now and have been through all of that in the past when I was much younger, poorer and inclined to build my own things.
I have also learned the trait of patience over the years and now know how to simply wait until I can afford what I want to add! I have also learned the fine art of shopping for a better deal on a good product and not needing top brand items just for a brand name.
This guy must be a real hoot on social media if he gets upset over a little comment though!

What tires and what rims? Look nice
Looks great! Not so much a "what I did TO my JL today" ... more like "FOR my JL today", this is far from some of the incredible mods that some of you are doing ... I just wanted an easy way to carry my Yeti, find the mouth opening in the dark and make something that I thought would look cool. Still a prototype as I have to work on the logo some ... now to build a black one with red thread to go with the interior ... once I build it, then I guess I can almost say it is "what I did TO my JL today"

I've got the same problem with the sag. I also don't like the strap placement with the factory mopar grab handles. But besides that, it is a great quality shade.I have the same one and love it except it seems like the sag in the front when the top is on gets worse by the day
On Sahara and Rubicon the headlight and grille trim are attached together behind the grille. (See here: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/sahara-grille-inserts-painting-different-color.4798/)Hello all, I have a question for ya. I own a JL Sahara and so like the silver trim that the Sahara comes with around the grill openings but would like to remove the silver trim around the headlights.
Is it possible to remove the silver trim around the head lights? Does anyone know?

Here is a picture of the splatter (it is hard to photograph being blackWaiting on mine now. Looks good. I’d like to see the powder coat splatter if possible. Seems like a great product, just hoping it’s QC’d to a high standard too.
Yea that’s pretty sloppy. Here is a picture of the splatter (it is hard to photograph being black

yes it looks like someone painted over rusty metal, the top cover and the top wings are pretty good however (just minor imperfections) however just about every other part had this. I have a paint thickness meter and it does not appear to be rust as the paint thickness is definitely heavier at the splatters. You only see it on my when you look inside and some pieces are hidden completely.Yea that’s pretty sloppy.![]()
The MOAB edition comes with black rubi wheelsThose stock rims? They look nice. Just sprayed black?
