I haven't been faster than 45 mph, but there was none at that speed. Tomorrow will hit 51 degrees here, so if I go anywhere, I'll try and get up around 60 or 65 and see what we get. The cloth seemed to flap around a little less at 45 than the full soft top's sunrider when it is flipped back, so I'm optimistic there will be no issue.
Dan, where can I get the Dino Decal and the grab handle WRANGLER in Red? I'd like to get 3 of them... Very Cool!! Nice Ride!!!

Aside from the windshield, here's the other thing I did to the JL today. Sunrider for Hard Top! The quality and fit of this thing appears to be outstanding!

Another question Dan. Are you showing the higher end Sunrider fabric here? I've yet to unbox mine.

Thanks.

The dino is from Etsy. Just go there and search for Jurrasic Park or T-Rex Jeep. Those or a similar combination will net you several options.

The grab handles are from GPCA.com. I went with the basic ones painted red and they are really nice. What I like best is that they fold up out of the way and don't obscure your view out the window. They can also be found on Ebay for less, but I bought mine directly from them. The Ebay ones might be knockoffs. Not sure.

That dino gets more laughs and attention than just about anything on the Jeep. I like taking new folks for rides and then watching them discover it. Usually they are just sitting there talking and then they stop and burst out laughing. People just love it, especially my kids!

Yep, it is the twill. Same exact stuff as on the premium soft top. It is much nicer than the material on my JK soft top, which is standard. (It is fine, though. That material has lasted 11 years on the JK soft top, so nothing wrong with saving a hundred bucks, if needed.)

Something I tried today....

Do you like how the GPCA grab handles tuck out of the way?...I do, if not the price.

I have the MOPARs. They like to bounce off the windows on bumpy terrain.

So I bought four of these (5" size) for my unlimited at Harbor Freight:

along with a 10 pack of these:

and used 2 zip ties per carabiner, pulling them very tight and cutting of the excess, the foam side hanging down

Viola, grab handles that fold out of the way.;)

P.S. another trick people do is to put rubber bands around the MOPAR ones so they go up and out of the way when not pulled down for use.

P.S.S. these were the 5" carabiners at Harbor Freight, and the 24" zip ties in black.

I have to try this! $10 for four handles. I would want to find something to protect the roll bar from zip tie and another piece of cushion so it goes all around the hook or even just the other half. Great idea! Do you have a picture of yours?

Great improvision there! Maybe we need a thread for Jeep hacks that are low cost. That should be the first post! I'll start that thread now!

I do love the GCPA's. If the price is too high, I saw red ones on Ebay for 29 bucks shipped. I ran with them for a week in Moab and they stayed put.

@Jo's Jeep

Suggest you get the twill and not the vinyl. Buy before the end of the month as the SR is on sale.

@Boatbuilder88
Cold here but I drove with it open and at 65 mph and above some buffeting but geeeez, wouldn't you expect as much. You get that with the Freedom panels off. No more noise then with FP off.
Thanks for the inputs guys!

How long did it take you to get yours? I ordered and paid for mine over a month ago and haven't received anything. I've contacted them and I'm getting nothing back.
Try contacting Alan on the Diabolical Facebook page. He's always been very responsive. https://www.facebook.com/DiabolicalIncorporated/
Same thing here. Website seems sketch with a resetting counter of “preorders”. I like the product and want to pull the trigger, but need him respond timely on eta if I pull the trigger. ...a Black Friday deal wouldn’t be too bad either. :whatsgoingon:

Originally I thought I'd use fabric Velcro ties but they seemed to be limited to 10" in length at Harbor Freight (just slightly too short) and I wanted to just try this as a proof of concept to see if the carabiners, (i.e. grab handles) would stay in place.

My zip ties are very tight (I used plyers to get the final maximum tightness) and I don't think they will dig in, but switching to Velcro or coating the zip ties as you mention might be a good idea.

Here's the back passenger's seat one. The MOPAR one is still there as, as stated, I was only trying this as a proof of concept at first. The carabiners/grab handles stay where you last left them: up or down.

(As a premium member at Harbor Freight the 5" carabiners are actually only $0.99 during the Thanksgiving sale.)

Finally i got aux switch installed. I used the Tazer to enable the aux option. And installed my Baja scorpion sports lights that I purchased agreed ago for my jk.

I just got my Mopar Auxiliary Switch Bank in the mail the other day. Going to install soon. How much of a pain is it?
