We have fallen in love with off roading and as such my wife is wanting to learn as much as possible about the components on the Jeep.
She knows what Dana 44, shocks, lockers and sway bar disconnects are/do and that they help offroad but not so familiar with how they look. Her latest request was sway bar disconnects because I told her they were better than the crap rubber bushing sway bar links that came with the lift and that they will help her off road.
I ordered her a pair of JKS links and gift wrapped them . She laughed and said I bet this is a Jeep part. She opened them and said "But what are they?". I said guess and these were her guesses...
"Are they shocks?" Nope, and I grabbed a shock to show her.
"Is it a Dana?" Chuckled, nope, I'll show you that later.
I took her to my LJ and showed her my disconnects and said you disconnect these. Her eyes lit up and said "Sway bar disconnects!!", proceeded by "So what exactly do they do?" and that led to a lesson on articulation followed by showing her my Dana 44 axle Wow, I just realized how a dirty mind could read that... hehehe.
Shout out to John @OffRoadWarehouse for hooking me up with a great deal on the links!!! Shocks will be ordered soon John!
