When I bought mine, the dealer located exactly what I wanted and had it ready for delivery in a couple of days. But over the years, I've ordered and waited for several vehicles to bet exactly what I wanted.

I'm curious as to what made you order a JL rather than buy one off the lot? There are no wrong answers..... Everyone has a reason for doing soand they are all valid.

Local dealers here in Colorado don't have to deal much on these Colorado Cadillacs, and they know it.

Saved 14% off MSRP. We traveled to Idaho and drove home through Yellowstone, NP. Best buying experience ever, ordered exactly what we wanted and saved $$$.

Question is, unless saving $$$ and getting exactly what you want is a problem, why would anyone not order?

If I was financing, I probably would have waited for the new MY19s to show up on dealership lots. Besides, I wanted a JLUR spec'd the way I wanted it.

2019 wasn't available on a lot when I ordered. I also knew exactly what I wanted without having to decide what I would settle for. The buying experience so far has been about 30 minutes invested. We agree'd at 6% below invoice. I dropped a thousand and just waiting. In I status, shouldn't be too much longer.

I ordered because no one in the US had the spec i was looking for in a 2018. So a 2019 in the spec I wanted just made sense to order it.

Wanted to wait for a 2019 so ordering will get the Jeep here sooner than buying off the lot (at least in principle). Also I only once found a 2018 configured exactly as I wanted within 100 miles of Houston according to Jeep's site. Most configured like I want (JLUR with almost all options) have accessories like mats and headliners and trail rail etc, that I didn't want. So I ordered. I was in I status last I checked.

Because 2dr manuals are unicorns... especially when the specific color and options I wanted were factored in. Also, 2drs weren’t yet being built when I ordered and I was told that sold orders were given higher priority than dealer orders.

I wanted a 2019 and thought I would get it quicker if I ordered when the 2019 banks opened up. Well, some people already have theirs, some dealers have received stock, and mine hasn't even been built. ETA still says TBD. Plan backfired lol.

I do not like leathers but every well-equipped Rubicons here have leather. I refuse to pay $1,300 for that plastic leather which will age really quick when I go topless.

I ordered because I wanted a Mojito! Rubi with everything on it and didn't want to take the chance that the color would be discontinued before I could find one configured the way I wanted.

I ordered because it didn't seem like dealers ordered 2 door Rubicons. I wanted most of the options, but was flexible on some things. Seemed like the easiest/best thing was to place an order for what I wanted. I ordered 2 door Rubicon, auto (must have, but yes I can drive manual), 3.6 (must have, I don't trust the turbo yet, and the diesel isn't available for the 2 door), cloth, premium soft top (strong want), infotainment (must have), tow group (must have), Mojito (strong want), LED (must have), safety group, advance safety, proximity key, cold weather (strong want), steel bumper, body colored fenders (I go back and forth whether I should have done these). Safety and Advance Safety are preferred because I work rotating shift work, sometimes the little things help getting home after getting off work at 6am.

Similar to a lot of the comments already. I was searching all the dealerships within 200 miles, and kept seeing stock on the lot that was either: It's missing this one thing that I really wanted - or - I don't want that, but I guess I'll live with paying $1500 extra for something I don't care about . . .

Besides, I really wanted a Mojito! Rubicon and they're like hens' teeth around here. I wasn't going to settle on color.
