I thought I'd share a cool experience I had at Uwharrie yesterday.

I took off from the house around 6 am; doors off, Radio turned up to max (Had to test my new speaker FCA changed under warranty), and ready to tackle Dickey Bell. My goal for the day was simply get my Badge of Honor Jeep Badge. Dickey Bell is the only trail at Uwharrie with a badge available. I got to the Outpost and aired down. As I always do, I entered the trail system through Daniel. I will say that all the rain late in the season this year has really changed the landscape, not just for Daniel, but Dickey Bell and Dutch John looked completely different than they did earlier this year.

When I completed Daniel and turned left on the loop, I met 3 more Jeeps in the parking lot. We talked for a bit and I found out they had never been off-road before. I provided a little advice and helped air them down and then we hit the trails together. Their goal for the day was Dutch John, so that's where we headed next; 2 Door JK's and a brand new JLUR. It was really cool to meet up up with total strangers and wheel together. We wheeled for a few hours and then I broke off to do Dickey Bell and head home. It was a good day.

I didn't take very many pics nor did I take that good of pics this time around. I went alone and ended up leading the group, so I wasn't focused on picture taking. Besides, I was enjoying the woods and the trail too much. Once it warmed up a bit, it got really nice out there.

I didn't look at the JK too closely, but when I went to air up at the Outpost, I saw them drive it onto a trailer.

I'm fairly certain it was ball joints, steering stab., and tie rod. Fixable on the trail, but not usually a set of parts you carry with you to a small trail system like Uwharrie.

There are only 2 badge trails in the North East and both can be done in a weekend. Are any of you interested in going with me before the end of the month? If so, what is your availability?

I am available just about anytime; during the week, weekends, holidays... I don't care. I'd rather be 4 wheeling than overeating and celebrating the pilgrims first harvest 400 years ago. I can bring a Turkey sandwich for the trail. Lol.

Anyway, It'd be awesome to head up there to do these 2 trails with some fellow forum members and collect a couple Badges of Honor in the process. We could leave early in the morning, hit up Peters Mill Run, and then continue to Rausch Creek Park. We can do some winter camping or get a hotel. If I can coordinate this with 2 or 3 other Jeepers, then I can easily get something on Air BnB for all of us cheaper than a hotel.

Then we wheel Crawl Daddy and come home whenever we're done messing around.

If I can't get anyone to go, I'm going, anyway. Haha! It would be nice to not go with just me and my buddy Warn.

Here are the two trails Jeep has on their App:

I'm up for moderate trails, but probably not the heavy rock crawling.

Me neither. These trails out East are completely different than what you're seeing in most of their videos and pics. However, they can be equally as challenging. There are videos on Crawl Daddy on YouTube. If it's not something you want to do, the place is an offroad park and there is plenty of other trails to wheel. We can always split up and meet at a neutral location a few hours later or something. It's whatever everyone is comfortable with.

I'd probably be able to do the George Washington Natl Forest pretty well, its right near where my brother lives. :)
Also I'm down for Uwharrie as well.

If I have availability I'd be down to hit some other trails. Last weekend was one that I didn't hit dickey bell for once. I'll be out in uwharrie for this upcoming vet day weekend as well.

That would be great to have other Jeeps come on a short road trip for wheeling somewhere out of the local area.
