Confirmed JL Dealership Arrivals

Ok, just saw one at Champion Chrysler Jeep on the NW side of Indy that says it is on the dealer lot! I'm going to try and go see it tomorrow morning!

I called them and a salesman confirmed it. It is a black Sport S, and he said they'd let me sit in it and test drive it. I won't drive it, though, as I am not a potential buyer from them and I don't want to waste the salesman's time. I told him I just want to sit in it for a minute.

If I do get to sit in it, I'll post a report. I'm 6'5" tall, so I can let the tall folks around here know how it is.

Of the 113 that came up within 150 miles of me, only 1 is confirmed on the dealer's lot. However, it just showed up as on the lot this evening. The salesman told me it arrived Wednesday. So, the reality is that more may have actually showed up.

Yes, please do -- I'm the same height as you, so I'm curious.

One of my local dealers in Denton, TX said their JL’s are currently being held up at a rail yard in Ohio. The sales manager has one ordered and is anxiously waiting for his to come as well.

With my dealership being about a 4 hour drive from Toledo, I wonder if they would even bother putting mine on a train, or if they'd just put it on a truck and drive it down? I'm sure they do whichever is most cost effective.

We do have a massive rail yard nearby. I've seen lots of car hauling rail cars there, but I've never seen an unloading area for new vehicles. It must have one, but I've not seen it. I'll have to look around there a little.

To my complete dismay, I discovered today in the Jeep online configurator that the "Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD System" is now only available with the automatic transmission. Last week it was available with the manual transmission as well but that appears to have changed. Farewell Wrangler! Disappointed.

To my complete dismay, I discovered today in the Jeep online configurator that the "Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD System" is now only available with the automatic transmission. Last week it was available with the manual transmission as well but that appears to have changed. Farewell Wrangler! Disappointed.

Sorry to hear that, man. Not sure why they couldn't put that with the manual. Has to be marketing.

I don’t know what is or not available with the Sahara so you may be correct... with that said, I’d never take the configurator as gospel either.

That red is the Sport they had there. The sport bar matches the body color. Sorry if the red was confusing, I figured it would show up better than the grey.

Thank Christ! Had me worried. Bar should match exterior color.

I also notice in the configurator that if you select the full time 4x4 Selec Trac system, it adds on the limited slip differential, and the optional wheels and all terrain tires on the Sahara. Instead of a $600 option, it turns into a $2100 option.

Wichita Kansas - New Rubicon at Davis-Moore Jeep. Beautiful and everything has been improved.

I am 6'7" and my wife is 5'5". The new Rubicon door door threshold is one inch higher than the current JK.

The front seats sits higher than the JK as well or the visor is lower. I will have to look under the visor for the stoplight more often.

The cabin seems ever so slightly more cramped. This unit was finished in tan leather. The dash and interior are a step up from the JK in every way.

I was surprised how much I liked the hinges matching the body color.

And those 33" inch tires are a major improvement over the current stock Rubicon tires.

My hats off to the Jeep design team.

Unfortunately, I have to wait for the new Sky One Touch top.
