You're going to have an awesome time. I just booked my trip out to Moab first week of September. We got permits for White Rim and have a long list of BOH trails we're going to hit as well. Super excited!
We also got a permit for the White Rim (White Crack & Taylor Canyon CG), the first week in August. I'm a little worried about the heat but that was the time we had available. I'm really looking forward to the WR and other trails in the area. Are you taking extra gas? The WR is only 100 miles so I am thinking i should be good in my 2.0.

Yeah it's going to be hot out there. At least it'll be cool at night. I have to figure out the gas and water situation still.

Top of the World is a must do and not a scary trail. I wish I knew ahead of time because my wife isn’t much for thrill seeking. She did Fins with me and liked it. Breathtaking view at the top!

I'm really looking forward to Top Of the World. We plan on doing that one as well as Golden Spike, Poison Spider and Elephant Hill.

Darn... I was hoping you would say hotel do I could get some prices. Alas, my kind of camping is the Ritz Carlton... but if I really want to rough it and get down in the trenches.... it would be a Hilton Hotel
The Fairfield inn and Springhill suites have a pretty nice pool area if your there in the summer.
There are a few swankier places too

no need for extra gas on white rim. I have done it many times you rarely need 4wd so. I have camped at White Crack in mid December and it got down to 17F it was one of the coolest camp spots. I have also stayed at Candle stick which is also nice. If you can take a propane fire pit as it really adds to the experience being able to have a fire. watch out for the little rodents that try and get into everything. The made a nest in my buddy's air cleaner. they got into our bag of Chips ahoy cookies and literally filled his air cleaner with cookies.....it was crazy.
the morning view form white crack.

Looks like we will be down there the last week of August 8 /24-8/31. Likely a few days at Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef before we roll in to Moab the 27th or 28th. Plan is to see the windows district in Arches, and run Hell's Revenge and possibly Poison Spider

That's good to know about gas. We just booked our permits and spots were pretty limited. The best we could do was first night at Shafer then drive the whole thing the next day and camp at Hardscrabble towards the end. It will be a long but beautiful day!

that is a great way to do it. We have driven the whole thing in a day and it is not that bad. even tho I just got back from Moab I am already wanting to go back :). Keep your eyes open for Rams. there are not a lot of them but they are out there.

Hit me up when you get closer to that time. I will be doing Hell’s revenge and Poison Spider on those days as well.

What permits are you speaking of?
