Ordered the rockslide engineering steps at the off road expo today. Also got some reverse leds.
I picked mine up at the show yesterday and put them on today. One warning, be careful of the body bolts especially the front passenger. Mine loosened up and the i was able to snug it on bracket but then it froze and will not move...still 1/4 inch proud. One other tip, as someone else mentioned the washers do not move on bolts without help. I took a grinding wheel on a drill to file away enough to alof the bracket to slip one.....good luck, they look awesome

Sprayed my grille with plastidip today...also sprayed my emblems a few weeks ago...I’m really diggin’ the look!
I'm planning to do exactly the same as well. How many coats did you put down? Trying to figure out how many cans I'll need...

I used 3 cans on my grille when I did mine. I tend to over do things though. I have a video of it on my YouTube page if you want to check it out.

Might have been friday, but I put on new diff covers after I powder coated them. I also didn't know how beat up my old ones were getting.

@BlackRook; I used one full can on mine, but I only really wanted to see what it would look like. Now that I know that I like it...I think I’m going to add more coats. That should help even out The bad areas and will definitely help with durability. I would say you need at least two cans, but I would also buy extra just in case something goes wrong. I actually peeled the first attempt off because it had some really bad sputtering in it.

Because bright red vehicles are just so well camouflaged and blend in so well with *everything*, right?

I had a stupid woman "bump" me from the rear the other day... My JL is also red, so she should have no excuse about not *seeing* it. I posted about it, but apparently I wasn't politically correct enough and I offended some snowflake and the topic got censored. :(
I thought that thread was going to have short life, but it was very entertaining while it lasted.

So considering you are physically ok(?), I see no other material damage to your Jeep than a cracked windshield and the blown airbags? Is that correct?

Thanks for the info. Mine are about 2-4 weeks out. Did you opt in for the extra armor? I'm on the fence.

Couple questions, did you spray the inserts also or did you take them out? How did you do the fender emblems, remove them and reinstall? Or tape around them (seems impossible)?

@DanPop; I’m not sure if you mean the actual grille inserts or the grille slot and headlight trim pieces. I have a Sport S so I don’t have the trim pieces, but I did take out the grille inserts. They come out easily...it’s just 8 screws and some clips. In fact I took the whole grille off...it’s just 6 plastic retainer pins at the top and some pressure clips across the bottom. Takes maybe 5 minutes to remove.

For the emblems, I taped off an area around the emblems and sprayed them on the Jeep. To get the pieces inside the letters, you need to use like a wooden toothpick, a plastic pick, or something of the like that won’t scratch your paint. Just take the end of your pick and try to roll the edge back. If that makes any sense.

Here are some helpful videos:
