Got the r3offroad.com kit. Though I couldn't get the whole hinge covered satisfactorily so I cut the hinge protector and just covered the fronts of the hinges.

Here is the G2 caliper paint after curing overnight. It got a little darker. I'm liking it. It's a brush-on 2 part epoxy paint that stays workable for 4-6 hours depending on humidity and temperature. It took me eight hours from wheels off to wheels on, then an overnight cure.

Installed a cheap, homemade hard top lift for ~$40 in parts and half an hour of time. Now I don’t have to be scared of my wife dropping the top when we take it off.

Only for live features and for ESS disable.

Correct- I also have a extender cable but it doesn’t work correctly. Not bothering me to leave it in there for the ess disable alone.

Very nice. I’m thinking about doing this but with red using dupli-color’s kit. How did you get around the brake hardware? Looks like that part would be tricky.

It was way easier than I thought it was going to be. I even bought extra brushes because the kit only came with one acid brush. I did not use the extra brushes and I probably went overkill on the masking. The paint is very forgiving and does not run. It is also self leveling so there are no brush marks. As you get closer to the 4-6 hour mark the paint gets thick and I wouldn't recommend using it much past that point.

I did the same kit in red. Good stuff. Garage floor was hard on my old butt tho.

How do you like the stabilizer?

Not much time with it yet...but, initial impressions are it makes a noticeable difference. Took it around on some “nice” Michigan roads and seems to have dampened the “jerk” in the the steering wheel that you might usually feel when hitting a pothole or bump...
