What tire pressure is everyone running their 35"s on the pavement? I have a JLUR and just installed 35"s, this thing is squirrly as hell now. Went with the Cooper SST Pro's. I'm currently running 36 in them. Any help would be appreciated.

When I purchased our Jeep new, tire pressure was set to 42. I have BFG 35x12.5R18 KO2’s load range E and run the front at 32, and 30 in the rear. May go down to 28 in the rear.

315/70/17 KO2 30LB feels bout right, I've tried 34/32 now 30, going to try 28, just for fun
I'll probably go to 34lb for long highway trips

I’ve tried a lot of different settings too. Before I had the new bumper and winch installed I ran 30 in the front and it felt great. With the winch and bumper I had to go up to 32 before it felt right.

Can you guys explain to me what the lower rear psi is about? Is it simply because it's a rear-wheel drive and you want more rubber on the ground? Just got my own 35's and trying to determine proper PSI for them.

For a 35" you should be in the 28-32 range on road. Long highway drives...say NJ to Moab I'll run 32-34 to grab slightly better fuel economy and to compensate for the fully loaded rig, but around town, I run 28.

Old sports car trick...gives a little bit more traction in a RWD vehicle, lower chance of it stepping out on you, especially in foul weather and better grip in the corners. Obviously some of these apply minimally on a Jeep.

I see! I'll give the 30/28 a try and see how that goes. I'm mostly city driving ( not highway ) so that should work well.

Are you on the C’s? I’ve been running about 32 but been curious how 28-30 runs. Just hadn’t tried it yet.

I have 315/70r17 ko2 c rated and running them at 33psi because for some reason they fluctuate on their own and if falls below 31psi it triggers the tpms warning.

One reason manufacturers sometimes go with more pressure in the rear, as opposed to less, is for rain. Higher pressure makes it less prone to hydroplaning. It isn't just about load carrying. In a vehicle like a pickup truck or a Jeep, there is less weight on the rear in typical driving. My Ford van, F150, and Mercedes E430 all specify more pressure in the rear. If the rears hydroplane before the fronts, you get the thrill and excitement of swapping ends.

Ahh. I have a Tazer so not worried about that, I moved the tpms down to 26.
