Once an order gets placed how long until delivery assuming you don’t order anything that isn’t available yet?
With the JL it is unknown. Traditionally the JK took 5-7 weeks. But this is new and we will have to wait till they start moving

I received a new build sheet today with my VIN but there are a couple of strange changes I hope you could clarify for me. I have an email in to my dealer but I haven't heard back yet.

My new build has added 'NAS - 50 State Emissions'
and removed '125 - Zone 25-Canada-Alberta'

What are the significance of those options? I am in Canada FYI
Shouldn’t matter at all.

@JLWF Dealer Guy , Stupid quetsion... Might depend on local dealer but, I plan to order a JLUR in the distant future, and will be trading my Tacoma for it. Does the dealer take my truck when I order it or when I take delivery? Thanks!

I'm obviously not Dealer Guy but any normal trade and buy process is based upon an evaluation of your trade and an expectation that you don't screw it up between that evaluation and the actual execution of the trade/buy. So you retain your vehicle up until that time but if you make major changes to it (swapping/removing major gear or getting into an accident) that would affect your deal. Otherwise, for most folks, they drive their trade-in until their new ride shows up and swap that at the dealership for the new vehicle.

There are 2 ways to approach this. If I give you a value, it's based on that date. Used vehicles fluctuate in the market weekly, monthly, etc. In the 2 months you wait for your order, it's going to have more miles, maybe you curb the wheel, the windshield gets damaged, your kid runs it into the ditch, maybe you have a loan on it then the payoff is going to change etc. Too many variables. I will either give you an evaluation at the time that we swap vehicles, or, you can take the value of it today when you order and sign the trade over to me now and we can apply that amount to your new purchase. I don't like to negotiate a value prior because that means I'm going to have to shoot low to CMA.

Gotcha! Thanks. Guess I need to start shopping for a clean moped then.

I ordered a Rubi yesterday, I got the standard wheels not the "Polished lip". 1) I assume they are the same size(33), its just cosmetic, right? I assume we still have not seen a price on the polished lip wheel? My preference like many others, would have been the black shown on the yellow Rubi in LA. I understand we don't know that price either from MOPAR?

Same size. Like many others, I got the standard wheels as not a fan of the polished lip on the Rubi. I prefer solid black also. I know some are planning on powder coating the standard rubi wheels black or coating with some plastic coating. We have not seen a price on the polished lip wheel, though upgraded wheels traditionally are at least a $9xx upgrade.

@JLWF Dealer Guy,
I am the father of three daughters who are all finally out of car/booster seats. I have been longing for a Wrangler for years and it is finally practical (Sahara for now), or at least practical enough, to consider making a purchase. The JL has helped make that decision a bit easier. I qualify for EP as my brother works for CFA. I’m assuming that that leaves very little to be negotiated as far as price, but are there any benefits or incentives to shopping around various dealerships? I don’t want to be a difficult customer, but I also have three kids to get through college and want to get the best deal. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Your EP # giving you 5% under invoice is probably the best deal you are going to get. I don't see a reason to shop dealerships unless where you go they are A holes or try to add $2000 in dealer adds.

I am guessing you are trading. You definitely want to shop around for the best deal on trade.
