Were customer Willys 392 orders halted / cancelled? I thought it was just the dealer orders.

Pretty certain they were nixed from what I read here and what Dirt Road Cred reported. It seems, as someone here predicted, they might release the Willys 392 as a 2027 model. But then, I’ve read there will only be one “Wrangler 392” model as the top of the model range for 2027. It is interesting that in the 2027 ordering code, there is a base 392 starting at $69,999 though. Jeep is just trying to figure out their market and probably unload some 2026 Moab’s before providing anymore info.

I'm thinking you're right.
Dudley, I think you had the right idea.

The Moab is basically priced right where my 2022 392 was, and I was ok with that.
But then the Willys was announced for $10k less.
And it offered everything I really needed, less the SOT.
I am still going to wait a few weeks for things to settle. Not too long though!

Any thoughts about the Dana 50 or 2027 colors?

I'm going to hold out for a '27.
For how I use it (fun/sports car/convertible that is not afraid of curbs, potholes, steep driveway inclines...), the current Dana 44 is more than sufficient, but 50>44!
And just the fact that 1 model year newer.
We'd be all over Snazzberry, but I still see '41 on the 2027 list, so I'm good there.

I would love to see Snazzberry come back. And a nice, rich metallic forest/hunter green. Snazz is kind of a candy apple red and I think the same color was called something different on chargers/challengers.

If you’re in touch with a salesman I’d ask them to check for you and keep you updated on colors and options. Jeep seems to restrict and add colors and options all the time, that aren’t reflected on the Jeep build configurator or the order guide. When I ordered the Moab, Jeep had removed Firecracker as an option (strange), but added Joose and Tuscadero. And as we know now, the painted fender flares became an option on the Moab, out of nowhere. None of these are reflected anywhere but the dealer’s order system.

On this morning’s conference call we’ve been told this months’ run is “model year buildout” which means they are targeting this month to be the last chance to order 2026s. They don’t always tell us this in advance (in fact, Durango 392 finished this morning with no advanced notice. This is NOT an exact science of may 31st midnight closure, rather it will be around that date, perhaps bleeding slightly into June, or slightly before.

As the date approaches, there’s also a higher probability of some items closing early (right now Ram 1500, the offroad and protection group are closed on some trims, for example).

If you’re ordering this month, you are locking in today’s MSRP, our dealer discount, today’s rebates. THEN, if the rebates improve when Jeep arrives, you get to swap out and take those instead!
