yes, the main distinction is the manner of our discussion, rather than the petty name calling and general insulting of intelligence you see elsewhere in the forums.I ventured over there. People were abusing other people for not knowing about the controls on the back of the steering wheel.
I came back over here to argue about the economy and organized labour. WAY more friendly.

oh you should have been there for the fight!I didn't get a raise at my first job for 3 years because the union president and Mayor Bloomberg couldn't agree on a contract. That union had forced membership, and would dictate everything about your employment contract. You were essentially unable to be fired for anything. The guy next to me would sleep all day in his cubicle. He made more than me and would get promotions first.
I hated that system because it took away my ability to set my own terms, be rewarded for my hard work, and otherwise set my own path. I think that was an example of a union that had become too powerful in my opinion.
My two cents, now that the debate is (hopefully) over.
