I mean it’s simple @21JLURDG : In a nutshell I allowed myself to buy into an expensive idea to feel like I’m part of something only to find out that I wasn’t really and I paid a price for it. There’s plenty of people before me who did the same, there will be plenty after me. I don’t regret it. I learnt a ton along the way, both about Wranglers and the culture, as well as about myself.
Yep, count it as a lesson learned. I bought a base Wrangler Sport and made it what I wanted for running the sand and mud in Florida. .... or a curb in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Definitely build your next Jeep for what you're doing now, not what you wish you were doing. All the best, we will see you again soon. :)

Tr4ckd4ys,
if you had made it to EJS I would have been happy to let the #1 Sexiest Jeep Alive owner ride shotgun In the #2 Sexiest Jeep Alive. Maybe Pickle, or Rose Garden Hill would have been fun, and could have given you a glimpse at western states four wheeling.

Fair warning: Some people are going to get upset with this post. Me personally, I’m sad and conflicted. But also relieve
Not trying to be a d!ck, but I think you overestimated that people would care.

Why would someone you probably never met get upset that your selling your Jeep?

Like they say, it’s not an airport…

I have been driving it less than 25 miles a week in the last two months since picking up a new career. I just continue wasting money on it and I could save the cash flow and have the financial damage be forgotten within 12-14 months.
WHAT THE HECK DUDE lol.

I drive my jeep about the same lol. I bought it at the end of September 2019 and it has a little over 13,000 miles.

Aside from like, rubber parts, that fucker will probably (hopefully) last forever. And I'm not getting rid of it for any reason!

In the spirit of the thread, I’ll continue to be brutally honest:

I have been driving it less than 25 miles a week in the last two months since picking up a new career. I just continue wasting money on it and I could save the cash flow and have the financial damage be forgotten within 12-14 months.

I’m not getting anything instead. This was my fourth vehicle. For now I’m just going to save the money because I eventually want to get into a supercar for a little bit in about a year.
Here’s some brutally honest advice. You’re obviously free to do as you wish

but the jeep isn’t exactly “forcing” you to spend a shit ton of money on it. You could simply be happy with what you have done with it and just, stop lol. If you enjoy the jeep, keep it and just leave it as is

My JLUR is stock and likely will remain that way because it came with everything stock that I put on my 06 TJ (lockers, mild lift to fit the 33s”) and the TJ did everything I wanted it to do. I could’ve easily built it up more, done long arms, 35s. Completely re done everything. But at that point it’s just “keeping up with the jones’” and it would’ve never been used to that potential. You could always downsize the build too. Go for an OEM+ setup rather than what you have, sell the parts and recoup some of the money that way.

Man so many so salty lol. Like you said…you’ll be back…I’ve met so many people that USED to own a Jeep…EVERY SINGLE ONE of them misses it…I’ve never heard anyone say they are glad they ditched it.

Also…if it’s only worth that much after all the work..I love people like you….I’m a used vehicle buyer…not a new vehicle buyer 😂

As you get more time and experience under your belt on this forum, you will be surprised to learn about all the many things that strangers on here care for. Both in a positive and negative way.

And frankly, if someone like you were to buy my Jeep and get all the benefit and fun out of everything that’s been done with it, then I’d be a very happy former owner!

I appreciate this so much. Maybe I’ll make it out there next year, without a Jeep. It seems I find myself in a place that going there without one is easier than with one.

Uhmmm false. My Jeep actually held me at knife point at Jeep Beach and made me buy it the alpine r series sub and status series amp. Its a very abusive relationship but I keep coming back.
