+1 on trying the seat jackers first. It made all the difference for me. The OEM seats made me feel like I was always sliding forward/out of them so I would keep pushing myself back into the seat on longer trips. The seat jackers elevated the front of the seats so I sat in them rather than on them. A little spendy for some aluminum and a few bolts, but worth it.

My seats feel jacked. Thick Purple cushion has this effect. I even picked up one for each other vehicle and the office chair. I'm not short, and I find myself needing to tweak rear view mirror due to the higher seat position.

It seems, from reading other posts over the years, that 2 door seats are regarded as more comfortable. They have completely different frames, as the 2 door seats are designed to fold and slide.

Find a 2 door and try it out. 2 door seats should bolt right into a 4 door. The seats in mine a very comfortable in my opinion. 5’9, 190, 32” inseam.

Sooo…. My wife threatened to never get in my jeep because of how uncomfortable the seats are…. After doing some research, I decided to buy a bartrac lumbar support and bought some 2”gel/memory foam mattress topper to put between the seats and my car covers. Happy to report no complaints from the wife after an ~8hour drive to and from NC. Twin mattress topper cost ~$30 from Amazon and the lumbar membrane was about another $40. It feels like you’re sitting on a marshmallow. Bumps on the road are also easier on the spine.

That's a quick way to take care of it, for you . I would have to go the route of taking the seat apart, and replacing the existing foam, because of my height at 6'2", and the wife at 5'10".

Reviving this thread, the seat in my 2025 Willy's XR is killing my back. My Mojave was perfect, especially the 1st one with leather.

I tried talking to parts ppl at dealers about Mojave seats and swapping the cushions and they have nothing to offer but confusion they have.

I am not interested in cheap temporary fixes over the long term but a real solution.

Last I heard, @wibornz stands by his solution: find a local upholsterer and have add memory foam to your seats between the OEM seat cover and the OEM padding.

Ted, please correct me if I misstated any of the above, thank you!

You are not wrong. It cost me $700 and was done the same day. My seats are 16 hour day, multiple day drives comfortable. Hands down the best upgrade for comfort that I have done to the Jeep. Just note for cold weather, it does take the seat a little longer to warm up.

Thanks for the replies. I took the Jeep into a shop and they did a bunch of foam work, the back of the seat is now good, but they over did the bottom and now that is a problem. It is too firm and I have a different issue. I had to drive 300 miles one way so there is a lot of extra expense. Ready to give up. When I sit in a Bronco they have wonderful seats and the doors still come off. I'm at a point where I'm thinking to just take the loss and walk away from Jeep forever. I've said it more than once with past Jeeps that "this is the last one, never again" haha ffs. Any other new vehicle I sit in has better seats, this garbage seat thing is brutal.

They are awful new. Adding memory foam helps. Try using something heavy like iron weight and pound down the replacement foam they added and soften them up with some hard break in weight

I am going to put the 3/4 seat jackers back in to see if that helps. If not I'll be looking to dump this thing. I should never have gotten rid of the Mojave!

After more seat time today the Jeep is just fucked. Two other ppl drove it and expressed the same, the seat feels rounded in a way that puts pressure on the spine and tailbone. This was the problem before the foam work.

No idea how this 2025 can be so bad, I've had a 2015 JK sport with dogshit base seats, a 2017 JLU with leather, a 2020 Gladiator Overland with leather, a 2022 Mojave with leather, a 2023 JLURXR with cloth then Katzkinz, then the 2023 Mojave with cloth, NONE of them were fucked like this POS.

I have done 15000km road trips in my past Jeeps with zero discomfort, this is fucked.
