Dallas has 3000 more people per square mile than the entire RTP

Since RTP includes the counties, yeah. But if you look at each of the cities (Raleigh, Durham, Morrisville, Cary, etc) in RTP they're all right around the 3300/3400 per sq mi mark. Cary is the only outlier since they annex so much shit and it's like 3/4 shopping. 2900/mi there.

The actual city of Dallas is a fraction of the metroplex. All of the cities run into each other with no space between, so it's just one giant city now. No one knows all the suburbs so everyone just says Dallas.
If you're going to be pedantic about it, at least compare city to city or metro area to metro area.

If you look at the urban density Dallas destroys Raleigh tho and thats more representative of what you both are feeling when you drive around. Cause neither of you actually live in either city proper.

Thinking on it, what we both feel when we drive around on the highway is the average daily traffic count for whatever highway. Cause that includes through traffic as well as residential traffic and such. Wonder where that info's at.

Travel well!

That is the plan. I should only be home 4 weeks in total between now and the end of June. I am actively getting the Jeep ready for a 4 month wheeling trip before it goes into storage. I am close to getting all the prep work done. On Oct 6th, it goes into my favorite off road shop where they will spend up to two hours trying to find anything that I may have over looked in my prep for the trip.

I know. We also had to stand around outside for half an hour this morning, waiting for the movers to show up. The customer was supposed to provide 4 access badges, and didn't.

I'm wearing a long sleeve button up and heavy duty pants from Duluth. Not by choice. Then I see the movers show up and those bastards are wearing shorts.

Found this for DFW. On the highway I commute on, there was between 128k and 132k cars per day for 2024. Population has gone up significantly since then.

Ours varies since I40 and I85 merge and that takes a bunch of traffic off. Highest peak for me is right by Morrisville ("HQ" of RTP, where my main office is/was) at 164k:

But that drops into the low 100k range by the time I get into Orange Co. (Though, now that TX has given us a Buccees, I expect worse).
