What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

After molding the rear inner fender, it wants to try and go back to its normal shape. It rubbed just a little last weekend so I fixed it. Poked a small hole and used a good zip tie to hold it back. There is a little area right behind it that works great.

I,personally, wouldn't trust even 3M tape to hold potential projectiles going down the road (especially in Phoenix heat). To each their own.

When I pulled them off of my old JKs I had the give them a decent yank. Thinking about making a piece that will hold another bolt so the lugs thread onto something.

Never liked the empty unused holes on the spare tire so I used 3M tape on a few spare lugs and stuck them on. Did this on my last few JKs and they stayed on well.

Took the front doors off for the first time. Closest thing I'll have to the sensation of being on a motorcycle for a long time.

Removed the "Euro" close out cover bumper pieces. Cut off the excess and put the back piece on to cover up the wiring for the fog lights. Also Plasti-Diped the front tow hooks.

installed 3m scotchguard pro paint protection to my hood and rocker panels. They came out perfect!! No need for a front bra

True but you know you have to do it now. Everytime you look at yours you'll notice it now. I'm going to buy bolts/washers that will take the lugs. Don't know why I didn't think of that the past 9 years.

Yeah the pass side was a bear. Red locktite made for a tough time. Once they broke loose I just used my air gun to remove them. At the end i had to give a pry to pull out of mount

Did you put the bolts back in with the impact? If not what torque did you use?

Ace recommends 80ftlbs but I went to 90ftlbs due to adaptor and extension

I’ve taken the doors off and put back on about 6 times now...don’t really have any tips or tricks except to make sure the doors are all the way open before you remove the hinge bolt and have the windows rolled down for ease of lifting. Other than that, just take it slow and easy (an extra person to help guide the pins back in helps too).

There are guide pins available to ease reinstalling the doors for wranglers up to and including 2018 Jk models. I can not find out if they fit the new JL wranglers. If anyone knows the answer I would love to find out.

Yes it did. My son was making fun of me for making such a small change. New to the Jeep life...starting out slow.
