Loaded up there! What roof basket is that?
The basket and roof rack are Yakima. Haven’t figured out what rack system I’ll actually go with for permanent use, Gobi looks good but seems a pain to remove the hard top on weekends. I may go with a Hiker trailer because with the JL loaded up like that the suspension sits so low the headlights point up and blind everyone.

Go with one of these. We always had one modified one way or another and they were the best. If you are feeling especially industrious you can modify/replace the axle so that you have matching rim and tires to your Jeep.

I installed the GPCA JL Unlimited Cargo cover that's just made its way to the market.

It is excellent product, but soft top users: I identified an easily resolvable problem with it that GPCA confirms.

Read about it, a solution, and my review here if you are a soft top owner considering its, or any cargo cover for the JL that may be released in the future's purchase here:

I'm making an easily removable cargo area divider/concealer out of wood that provides a rigid top of the tub shelf for more gear, while concealing contents below, and is compatible with the new GPCA cargo cover, that will also feature ability to make, with folded down rear seats, the area behind the front seats into a sleeping area--that is if your 6' tall or shorter, and don't mind sleeping diagonally;)

When I have a working prototype I'll post links.

Damn, I just sent mine back today because of this very reason. Could not figure out how to make it work with the soft top hardware!

UUdog: this is a situation where the JL forum rocks--not only because we share 411, but we can petition as a group. Ask GPCA to turn it around back to you, at their shipping cost. Their oversight already cost you heartache, and their lack of accommodation could risk you articulating same here and effecting their sales.

Good luck! Let us know how it worked out. We, as consumers, are stronger when we collaborate in numbers.

I will not be participating in this forum as of 8/31/2018. It's been a fun ride, but it's time to move on. Take care. - Dustin

I just looked and found a few for sale via google on a couple of sites. Usually there are a lot more than that for sale on the auction sites but it may just be a bad time of year right now. Search for M101 / 105 and M1101 / 1102. I usually use govplanet for these types of things with decent luck.

I have also seen a few places selling them already converted and a few ground up custom jobs but they wanted premium money for those rigs.

edited to add:
If you find one with a hard top on an auction site, keep an eye on it. That thing will usually go for crazy money. Those hardtops are damn near impossible to find.

Installed the Mopar reinforcement bracket and spacer today, pretty simple.

Tomorrow my quadratec wheels and 37s will be here and I'll have them mounted and balanced.

I do have the third brake light on order as well. Got a good deal for pretty much all of it, from an Oklahoma dealership selling parts on eBay .
