Hey all. My name is Bill (you can call me wish, it’s my initials) and I have a Jeep problem.
The problem wasn’t marrying into them, it was that they accumulated.
We just got a 2018 JULR that we plan to use as our primary vehicle. It’s allowing our 1995 ZJ (>330,000 miles) to go into a semi-retirement while we fix up the rust issues underneath. The 84 2dr XJ Chief (>210,000 miles) is the other Jeep we have here and our son is in Colorado with his 71 SJ (bright blue, you’ll know it if you see it). The JLUR is also out there at the moment as he picked it up in NE for us, so we haven’t even driven it yet.
The JL currently has quite a few tweaks to it and I won’t be too surprised to find it in one of the threads here. It’s Punkin and spent its life in Colorado. Goodies seem to include 35s on Black Rhino rims, winch, RockHard front bumper, Rugged Ridge tailgate hinge, and probably a few things I haven’t even noticed yet. If you know the rig I’m interested in what the history of it is. We’ll be putting it through some light work in the SouthWest this summer.
The search for a new-to-us vehicle was helped immensely by the resources here and we will certainly continue to leverage the search function as we learn more bout our first 21st century vehicle (the 96 Mustang was the newest until the JL).
