You might want to jump on the Ineos forums and read what the owners are saying about them before you go down that road.

We like open roofs.
He seemed to think his Jeep was too wide, so you recommended a Bronco??

They’ve only been selling vehicles in the U.S. for a little over a year, so I fully expected early builds to be buggy. But most seem genuinely impressed or happy with their purchase of it in long-term updates.

Jeeps electrical nightmares with its current products shows Legacy manufacturers still experience quality hiccups frequently as well.

Volvo has been on my list. They have a couple different models that feel actually nice, are not too expensive, with understated performance.

if the Precept had a Gas engine it’d be on the list! Also wish Zeekr was offered in the U.S. but alas (China/US-Relations)

Just don’t get one with a sunroof. The shade they use is completely see through and the sun causes glare issues. Otherwise, nice cars.

My 2 main reasons for getting a Wrangler are because I've always wanted a 2 door since I was a kid. I thought they look great and always enjoyed riding in them. The second reason is because I enjoy driving with a manual transmission. I've driven manual transmissions most of my life and will continue doing so for as long as they are available.

That being said, if I were to trade in my Wrangler for something else, my top options would be:
  1. BRZ/FRS - This would be a lot of fun to drive and since my kid is young, he fits in the backseat. I know it's a 2 door, but I already daily drive a 2 door JL that I have to get my kid into, so that doesn't bother me.
  2. Golf R - Also a lot of fun to drive, a bit more practical for the family and a few more creature comforts that would be nice to have as I get older. Ultimately the cheaper price of the BRZ is what puts it above this.
  3. Civic Si - This would definitely be a compromise on fun for the sake of family practicality and price, but I would still enjoy driving it every day.

Up here in NE Ohio snow belt and for whatever reason ie. corrosion hinges, 3.6 engine failure neither of which my 18 with 66k have, I would look at Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness. 2 months ago they offered $50 for a test drive. I did and it's not bad. Doors don't come off. I have a few Jeep tattoos that won't come off easily.

I am on wrangler #5 and doubt there will be a #6. Of the OP's top 4 none of those would be on my top 10 list. I would be looking at a Bronco or a 4runner or a colorado AEV bison if I were replacing the jeep if just getting a daily driver and keeping the jeep I am really happy with our Mazda CX5 turbo. plenty of giddy up and at 2 years old and 35000 miles has not has a single issue and I mean none nada. Has not been back to dealership since the day we drove it off the lot with 5 miles on it.

Even the JT is no replacement for the wrangler in the rocks, but we kept the JLUR for that. It's the wife's daily...on 39s. I guess it's not comfortable enough for some, but she doesn't complain. The JT Mojave is definitely more stable at speed in the desert. If I couldn't have a wrangler I'd have to Bob the bed on the JT because I wouldn't buy a Ford again and nothing else is truly off road capable like a Jeep.

Be honest with yourself first and foremost. What attributes do you value? What part of the Jeep experience is leaving you wanting?

If ride/drive/handling are important, I’d stay away from high center of gravity SUVs and PUs. For example, my daily is a 4Runner, but it only drives marginally better than a JL. A RAV4 drives waaaaay nicer on the highway. It’s all about steering inputs per mile, if you’re having to make constant steering corrections while running down the interstate, you’ll arrive exhausted.

Test drive or rent a vehicle before buying. Spend some serious objective time behind the wheel before you buy.

Hi All Curious Wrangler owner here,

As my own interest in finding a Better suited Daily for my changing professional life and personal desires in my daily driver have changed.
I was wondering if other owners, either 1st Time Wrangler-owners(ME), Long time Wrangler or Jeep owners, or anyone who has switched to the brand, What YOU are considering replacing your current vehicle with that’s NOT a Jeep? Has your love of the vehicle, or the experience changed?

Me personally, Absolutely love our Wrangler for its capabilities with the XR pack, unique color and Jeep Beach Package. Though the lack of comfort both in daily driving, and physical space have me wanting a bit more elbow and head space, storage, better cameras (XR is Wiiiiide). Our desire is to buy out our lease an keep the wrangler as a Weekend Warrior, but firmly as a secondary car.

Looking at Jeeps current line-up has left little to No desirability in it for us. We’ve owned multiple grand Cherokees but the WK is superior to the buggy current gen. No need for a Wagoneer sized vehicle and a Biiiig No on the first Electric Jeep.

Personally I am not worried about Brand reliability as Jeep isn’t the bastion of it and we haven’t had a single issue with any of our 5-Jeeps ranging from brand new to traded in with 159,000 miles on my 18 G.C. High altitude

Top-4 (for me)

1. Lexus GX550–Looks alone would buy, questionable build quality, peeling exterior plastics, flimsy doors are my concerns.

2. Land Rover Defender 110-X Lux. meets practicality and still capable, ??Reliability??

3. Porsches Cayenne S—closer than ever to my 911 Dreams, all are white, black or gray 😞

4. Ineos Grenadier—closest to the Wrangler drive wise, Very capable, Best Part* B58 BMW Engine~Tuning and Milltek Exhaust could be very interesting.

What has you eyeing other Brands/Models?
Wow! High budget! In that price range I would go for a Yukon Denali or a wagoneer
