MB Quart stage 6 with two 400 watt amps and 12” tailgate subwoofer. Is this system good?

I mean, it is definitely not gong to be bad. IMHO MB Quart has lost some of its luster but I can't imagine you would be unhappy with it.

I auditioned everything at Jeep Invasion a few weeks ago and picked the MBQ Stage 6 + Sub (I did the replacement instead of the tailgate because I want the tailgate table).

It's sitting in my garage waiting for install.

Not sure the cost but I'd suggest going to a local, reputable, audio shop and compare what you could get for the same money. MB was one of the best back in the day. Being bought by a couple others since has changed the quality IMO. I personally avoid the package deals like the one you're inquiring. From experience I've had much better luck piecing together a system of components I wanted instead of whats in the bundle. Quality has typically been higher and still save a little coin in the process. Save even more if you are able to install it all on your own. Car audio isn't difficult to install, just tedious at times.

It tends to be hard to find a good three way front setup that fits in stock locations. I actually had a MBQ speaker setup in my BMW that was similiar. Most setups either split into two full range, or just run tweeters on the dash in mids in the kick.

The MBQ OEM head setup includes the PAC, which you'll likely need on any Alpine setup. I looked at several soundbar setups, and I liked the sound of single 6.5s/6x9s the best, otherwise everything pulled the sound stage back behind and above you. That's why I did not get the 4 x 8" soundbar upgrade from MBQ.

I would have highly considered piecing together high end components had I not gotten the MBQ setup at a significant discount at the show.

I purchased this MBQ package at the Jeep Invasion and having it professionally installed. I got a really good deal on the package at the Invasion…

I have been running the Quart system for about two years. Ran the 400.1 into a rewired factory sub until the Quart drop in was released and replaced the factory sub. It sounded very good but replaced the AmpPro with the Rockford DSR-1 and I prefer the sound of the sub compared to the AmpPro. I still intend to get it tuned when I swap the hard top back on for the winter. Thinking that the tailgate sub would sound just as good.

I have the full MB system with drop in Sub and the new overhead soundbar. In addition, I have their big sub in a box ran by an additional 400.1 amp. The drop in sub is good, but was not quite enough for me. Box is on a quick disconnect so I can pull it out if I needed the space more than the bass... I have not heard the 12" tailgate sub. Did not go that route as I have a table on the tailgate. Additionally, that has to add some weight and you have to be carefull when loading the back so you don't close the sub on cargo. A small cheap amazon box may sound better. If you are only adding the one sub and not the drop in, you can still use the 400.1 amp and rack/wiring. For two subs, I added the 400.1 amp further up under the seat and split the RCA's for sound. I wired it separately as to not overload the MB wiring.

I just purchased the Stinger Heigh10 but have not installed it yet. Main reason for the Stinger was to be able to adjust the sound and individual speaker cutoffs. Not something you can do on the Alpine OEM head unit.

Same. I have a tailgate table I didn't want to lose. So I did the replacement 10" sub. I also need to install it all under my driver seat as I have an ARB air compressor under the other seat.

For those that have done the drop-in replacement, how is the amp handled/wired?

it seems to require the 6 speaker kit, as you need that whole harness to get this sub in the mix. I *think* .

So, anyone here have any pics of the wiring to the stereo/brain? I purchased the kit and had watched several install videos (for the 18-23 wrangler) but mine is a 2024, with the “factory upgrade Alpine system”. I cannot find instructions or videos showing the wiring for my specific application. The plugs look completely different. HELP?

Going to need a different PAC. The one big red plug is gone on the 24s. You will need to wait for a new PAC to become available. There might be one already, but MB Quart might not have packaged it up yet.
